I am returning to school to finish my Bachelors Degree in Sustainable Design.

I am allowed through a limited grant to get only one new machine to replace my MacBook Pro 17 (2010) 8/1TB machine, which is retiring to the happy state of Florida (via Mac of All Trades).

I will need to run AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Cloud, ArcGIS, plus light web design, data analysis and hopefully, finally learn video editing.

Which option should I go for?

Can I get away with the lower end MacBook Pro 15" without the GPU and 2-4GB of VRAM?
Get the new MacBook Pro 16/512GB with 4GB VRAM?
Or get a new iMac instead of the maxed MacBook Pro?
