Wondering if buying a new 14" Macbook Pro in the Apple Store might be easier than ordering and shipping.
If so, what models do you think would I find in the store?
Thanks

the base models will be in stock in stores.

one M1PRO 14 inch one M1MAX 14 inch

two M1PRO 16 inch and one M1MAX 16 inch

so in total 4 MacBook models available in store.

those are all base models

Sometimes Apple also stocks popular, higher-end BTO configs in-store. It's yet to be seen what configs they'll have for this generation besides the standard configs.

Thank you. I didn't want to risk waiting so I went ahead and put my credit card to use. Ordered a 14" and bit the bullet for the 2TB drive. This will need to last me for several years to come

Anyone have an idea when they will be available to order for in store pickup? It's usually possible to order before the actual launch.

iPad mini in-store orders came up about 10 minutes after my local stores opened in Massachusetts at 8AM on launch day. Sometimes in-store pickup has opened up at 3-5AM eastern time on launch day, too. So 3-9AM EST on 10/26 is my best guess.

Weird. For the Apple Watch Series 7 i was able to place an in-store order the day after. I suppose at this stage Apple just don't know what allocation and of how many each store will get.

I’m really hoping they have a 14 base max in stock. I guess it’s not technically considered a base model, but I imagine it will be popular. I originally ordered a base cpu 14 with 1tb and 32gb for launch day, but have decided to spring for the Max instead. Shipping times though are really getting out there.
Do any of you know if you can trade in and use Apple Card financing for in store or is it online only?

Sorry to bump a thread, but I'm wondering if anyone has seen any update on what models are being stocked at local stores?

I'd love to try getting a base 1TB model with 32GB of memory, but so far I've only seen the 16GB config.

Other than the stock models directly on the website, the 2 BTO configs stores may stock are:

14" MAX 32 GPU, 64 GB RAM, 2 TB SSD
16" MAX 32 GPU, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB SSD

Finally, after 2 years (damn pandemic!) I'll do my 4th trip to USA. 7 days in NY (last week of April) and another 7 days in Orlando (first week of May).

My target is the new Macbook Pro of 14' and with 32GB (I intend to run some VMs...).

I really like to buy directly at stores. Do you know if they have these models with 32GB at stores for immediate pick up?

A lot of Apple Stores (at least in the Midwest) usually have the 14 M1Max 64GB 2TB 32GPU in stock every time I look. I bought one rather than wait on my order.
