Which iPhone models will likely to be discontinued with the release of the iPhone 15?

They now sell new 11, 13 and 14 (at least in my country). Even 12 but those are usually out of stock.

iPhone 11 was discontinued last year, assumed this was world-wide. So it would make sense if iPhone 12 was dropped this year. And maybe 13 mini and some higher storage configurations of 13. 14 Pro (Max) should also disappear as it does every year. SE is also still being sold, but that's usually on a different cycle.

SE - 13 - 14 - 14 Plus - 15/Plus/Pro/Pro Max

I’d actually probably see the lineup without the standard 13 and 14 Plus, but keeping the 13 mini around.

So -
SE - 13 mini - 14 - 15/Plus/Pro/Max

I don’t really think it makes sense to have both the standard 13 and 14 since they’re very similar. And then the 14 Plus and 15 Plus together in the lineup. They’re still selling the 12, so that’s why I can see the 13 mini staying another year as long as they’re not replacing it with another mini.

Apple has already decided nobody wants the mini. They replaced it with the Plus. Why would Apple extend the sale of iPhone 13 mini? If it's a choice between keeping iPhone 13 or 13 mini, the choice is obvious. They'll keep selling the 6.1-inch model that more people want.

Apple currently sells iPhone 13 and 14 together. The 14 has several features that iPhone 13 lacks. It's not like Apple will declare in September, "Oh no, we just realized they're quite similar!"

As 13 and 14 are more or less identical, they should not keep both around the same time.

So maybe SE, 12, 14 and of course all the new ones will be your only options.

Makes no sense. Apple sells iPhone 13 and 14 right now. Would they be less identical in September 2023?
