If this image holds true which size Ipad pro will you be getting? What Storage option?
Curious to hear where most of you will be leaning.
Right there with you. There's no such thing as "too big" for me where my iPP is concerned. I really appreciate the split screen capabilities as well as how beautifully my studio books and magazines (lots of color photographs) display. Plus, for drawing, more screen is better from my point of view.Definitely the 12.9 (again). I really love my Gen 1, and love the screen real estate.
Then they’ll go 13.3 no? So they can reuse a panel. My absolutely favorite machine was the amBA 11 and I got plenty of serious work done on it. Found the footprint on the larger one too big.going to be a tough call. I've NEVER bought the bigger iPad Pro model, but if the price increase isn't major, I would consider it this time around.
EDIT: I also think they're going to slightly increase the 12.9" model to a true 13" so that they can say 11 and 13. (sizes similar to Macbook options)
That changes things a bit. Still. In person when I looked at the 10.5 and visualized the new rumored 12.9 dimensions the difference seemed manageable. Aspect ratio also comes into my decision. I don’t want a “long” iPad. My thinkpad In tablet mode is unable because it’s too skinny in portrait mode.Just so people understand, that picture is not to scale. If you zoom in so that the smaller iPad screen measures 11 inches diagonally, the larger "12.9 inch" screen only shows at about 11.75 inches diagonally.

More accurate comparison of sizes.
Right now my thinking is.....none. Last fall I bought the 12.9" (second iteration) to replace my first-generation one and it really is my favorite iPad, the one I choose time and time again to use while at home. Earlier in the autumn of 2017 I had also bought the 10.5" iPad and it serves me very well both at home and when going out-and-about and when traveling. Earlier this summer I bought the iPad Mini 4 for a specific purpose and am using it from time to time, too, but it really is more of an adjunct to the other two although it does at times replace the 10.5 when I'm leaving the house, as it does tuck nicely into smaller bags and purses.....
Since I am pretty well covered in iPads for the time being, regardless of what new enticements Apple may offer us, I am looking at doing something else this fall in terms of what I update in my Apple products......

I'm also thinking about keeping my iPhone X for another year instead of automatically doing the upgrade to the newest iteration, but I want to see what Apple is going to be presenting before I make a decision about that. It's a somewhat different scenario than that with the iPads.
At this point the 2015 15" MBP that I use every day is approaching her third birthday and also the end of AppleCare coverage so this is what I am focusing on now in terms of what I might do in terms of Apple gear this fall..... Moving to the 2018 MBP will definitely cause a dent in the ole pocketbook bank account and so I'm weighing pros and cons......
Also, and this is not Apple-related, I am also considering making a shift in my photography gear as well, which again would involve a rather substantial $$$$ outlay for camera body and lenses, so that is another reason for not feeling an immediate urge to update my iPads, regardless of what Apple might show us in a month or two.
