which older laptop for basic stuff ??

which older model (used) laptop do you suggest for surfing the net, listening to the radio on itunes, and maybe some photo editing. Am i correct in saying that not alot of ram is needed for the internet and radio, but there is for the photo editing. Would i be wasting my money going this route( ideas on how much this would cost) or should i buy the entry level macbook(1000.00), thanks for your response and any other info you care to share...

Based on your needs I would hust get a brand new base model macbook. But if you want to save a little get any of the previous models (with the intel processor for future proof)

I'd get a refurb Macbook, you can always add 3rd party memory later if you need it.
