Glad you mention that. Assuming new I would suppose 8+ for battery as the newest chips usually come with an improvment in battery management. Photography wise they must be close. The poll is not very well expressed actually given what I mentioned.Hi!
folks!
Which one is the best in terms of Photography and battery life?
cheers!
I had the 7+ last year and have been using the 8+ this year, and the 8+, to me, is leaps and bounds better. Not sure if I just had a dud, but the battery life on my 8+ is significantly better than on my 7+. The camera on the 8+ is also a lot better than the one on the 7+, especially in lower light conditions, so to me, the 8+ easily wins out the 7+
The a11 is quite a bit more powerful than the a10. It isn’t all just used to age.On the spec sheet, Apple literally states the iPhone 8 Plus:
In fact, the iPhone 8 Plus has a smaller 10.28 Whr battery compared to iPhone 7 Plus of 11.1 Whr. This is to accommodate the glass back design. Any perceived difference is due to an aged iPhone 7 battery.
In terms of photography, you'll want to compare sample shots.
I don’t think this is all of it. The a11 is more efficient than the a10. The 7+ has a bit larger battery than the 8+, but they’re rated nearly the same. It's more the fact that the battery will be newer which is why battery life should be better on the 8

I see the portrait setting in the camera app of my 7+. It appears to have the same exact camera settings as my 8+ does.1.) When you ask questions which phone has the “best” in something, you will never have consistent answers from anyone, with the exception of what Apple states on for the specification. Also, battery life is completely variable for everyone, because everyone will have different uses and settings for the battery.
2.) Both the 7 Plus and 8 Plus take great pictures, but you ultimately need to make the decision on what’s the ‘Best.’ However, the 8 Plus has one unique feature with Portrait Lighting the 7 Plus does not have.

I bought my 7+ in November and my 8+ in April which for me is most likely why both of my phones seem to have the same exact battery life. My 7+ has 87 cycles and my 8+, 36.
I've found over the years that my choice of carrier would also affect battery life. On T-Mobile, I would get excellent usage stats and the same phone with a AT&T sim, I would get almost half. Since WiFi calling has existed, that isn't a problem too much but there still is slightly better stats when I use T-Mobile due to their excellent signal where I live and work.
The 8+/X has a variety of lighting effects directly above the “portrait” setting when selected. It uses the neural engine in the A11 to help produce such. They can be added in real-time or after the photo is taken.

I see that now. It wasn't obvious to me as I really only tried that portrait setting once. The 8+/X has a variety of lighting effects directly above the “portrait” setting when selected. Neither. iPhone 8(+) is iPhone 7(+) with minor enhancements and equal to iPhone 7s(+). For iPhone 7(+) owners, spending money for iPhone 8(+) is for minor enhancements only.Hi!

7+ lacks true tone, right?
