Help with this please, which one is the best graphics card passive (fan less) for Mac Pro 1.1.
Actually I'm using NVIDIA GeForce 210 but I want a bigger card for use with EL CAPITAN.

Thank you in advance.

Yeah I think the GTX 750 is the best card with stock passive cooler (good aftermarkt solutions for higher TDP are also available, but are usually HUGE, taking up multiple slots).

However, IMHO there's no point to do this in a MacPro as they aren't that silent. A card with good active cooler will remain dead silent (well, unless FurMark comes up maybe).

Hopefully my passively-cooled 5770 hack-job won't die. If so, these card seem like good solutions--that is, if they work fine out-of-the-box and don't need shoddy web drivers. Some of you guys here are lucky to have newer Mac Pros. My 1,1 is kinda loud for some reason, even though it's dust-free and runs cool, with low fan speeds. I already took the liberty of installing an SSD (and making my backup drive a nicer HDD, rather than the drives that came stock with this machine), and taking a stab at passively-cooling my GPU. Now that it's on the floor--instead of on my desk--it definitely sounds much better. However, I can still hear it fine. Maybe they just made them quieter as time went on.
