Me too. Specs are so similar. It comes down to new form factor vs. Home button and Touch ID.

Right? For me, it's a test of patience, too haha. My iPhone 6 should have retired months ago, and I'm not keen on waiting until November (maybe) for a phone. But I'm tempted... all I know is I want a 256gb model of something

I'm waiting to retire my 6 too!

It's a tough call. In addition to the points I mentioned above, part of me wants instant gratification, but I'm afraid when I see the X in November I'll regret it.

Why would anyone pay that much for an 8 plus that has substantially the same form factor as something released three generations ago...

Replacing 6S with 64GB X. Wish it came in the space black, Apple really jipping us on the colors this time - I guess they need something for next year.

Sticking with my 7+ until something comes up that I need to replace it. At which point I'll either go with whatever the updated SE is or move away from smartphones.

Because that's what everyone would've done if the iPhone X was never mentioned.

I'm going for the 256GB 8 Plus. I already sold my 7 Plus and I'm not sold on the X.

I'm torn between the 8 plus and the X both in 256gb

I like the X overall, but not sure if I can justify the higher cost for a phone that'll probably be standard within the next year or two and probably still has some bugs to work out.

Also, I'm not sure about the size of the X, while I get that he screen size is essentially the same as the plus, I've really grown to like the overall size of the phone body with the plus lines.

You do have 14 days regardless to assist with your decision. I'm venturing out to the path of the iPhone X. Face ID it's still in its infancy and I think Apple has invested a lot of technology and security measures into this, where I personally feel comfortable. (Regardless if the demo).

Because that form factor brings with it features that I still prefer, like a home button. And it has the same internals and almost the same capabilities as the X, so I could also ask, why pay $300 more just because for aesthetics? Seriously, how many people are buying the X just because it looks different?

I'll wait for the iPhone Xs Plus.

I can't stand the notch and am sure it will won't be there on next year's release. Further more, I need a Plus Version. The screen on the iPhone X is roughly 1cm narrower than that of an iPhone 7 Plus. It doesn't sound like much but when you mainly view square Instagram images in portrait mode, you will lose 20% of image real estate.

Further more my Galaxy S6 Edge Plus already has OLED, Wireless Charging and a screen that wraps around the side. I need a substantial leap to justify an upgrade.
