I want to buy OS 10.3 (Panther) for my G3 iMac currently running OS 9.2, and I've heard you can get "upgrade" versions of the retail software as well as the "full" ones. If there are such upgrade ones, is it for upgrading from OS 9 or from OS 10, 10.1 and 10.2?

Thanks in advance :)

You may be able to find legal versions of MacOS X 10.2 or 10.3 on eBay relatively cheaply. (You can find cheap versions of 10.4, most likely a bit less legal). After installing, use "Software Upgrade" as soon as possible.

Thanks :D. I'm looking on eBay now. 10 separate Tiger discs for £15 a piece in Buy It Now.... hmmm... sound legal?

The 10 discs are the CD upgrade. If your iMac G3 had a DVD drive you should opt for a DVD since it has several things not available on the CD version.
