So by your Logic really anything 2010 or older ought to be replaced because it's just not fast enough. Only one of those computers can take 5 internal drives, has 2 Ethernet ports, optical out for audio, and PCIe expansion.

I went for an iMac G4 1.25GHz, 768mb RAM, 80gb HDD, NVIDIA Geforce FX 5200(Ultra?). I think it's great and it flies on Leopard. But that's just my opinion.

I love the design of that Mac - I wonder why apple abandoned that design so quickly. The G5 iMac is basically the flat panel iMac that we see now (for the most part). Its a great design - if I had the room, I'd search ebay for one.

I have a G4 cube, but that needs a monitor, so its just sitting in my closet at the moment.

Which design?

Mini's have optical out and the G5 does not have PCIe. Technically the 2011 mini can support PCIe with a thunderbolt adapter. If PCIe was a requirement, your statement is a fail. buying a 1200$ thunderbolt rackmount for a mini would also be very stupid IMHO.

The quad G5 does have PCIe  . So your statement is a fail.
