iPod touch Which recording app is best?

I'm looking at recording apps for the ipod touch and am specifically looking for one that records in .wav format for dictation purposes. I was looking at the iProRecorder but read lots of bad reviews of it. The Speakeasy seems to not record in .wav format.

Any other good programs?

If you really need it to be .wav, I'd say go with Ultimate Voice Recorder. It seems to have a lot of good features, and it can save your recordings in multiple formats.

Any idea about a good external mic to purchase for recording? (Mic only; not headphones/mic.)

I got this and it seems to work well. I am not attaching earplugs to it, just using it as a mic.
