u need at least 1G RAM to run office suites (M$ or Neo or Open). in case thats the problem.

There's no law that you have to have a gig of ram. Sure, it's going to help, ram helps everything on your system. But it is not nessesary.

I just began to use NeoOffice, as I like the way it handles toolbars and also that it is Intel Native. Give it a try, do some work in both, and decide which one you like better. It's really a matter of preferance.
