Does anyone know when the new Steve jobs movie comes out on dvd?? Or where I can watch it? I haven't seen it yet but really would like to.

Just finally saw the newest one last night and thought it was slightly better than the Ashton Kucher version, but couldn't help to think that both could have been so much better IMO.

what are your opinions?

Please no "they all sucked" comments...

Well, the Kucher one sucked hard. Absolutely atrocious and cringeworthy to a new level I never thought possible. Plus I just find the idea of a movie solely revolving around Steve Jobs -- almost deifying him as well, with this fantastic 20/20 hindsight that we have in 2016 -- to fundementally just be a lame idea. I can't think of a more appropriate word. It's just lame.

The 'best' film of this subject matter in my opinion (by a massive stretch) is Pirates of Silicon Valley. Not only is it accurate and well acted, but it's just a good film. It's more like a documentary than a dramatisation too, which to me removes the massive hurdle that plagues the other ones.

Finally, possibly the most important point, is that Pirates of Silicon Valley was made in 1999. People didn't know that Apple/Jobs were going to turn it around and become the most profitable company in history. There wasn't this hindsight. There was this uncertainty of the future that allowed the storytelling to be just that little bit grittier, and truer. The ambiguous nature of the ending helps, rather than hinders.

Haven't seen any yet, but Ashton Kutcher one is my queue on Netflix when i get round to them :D
