Which TV Series Are You Binging On?

Started watching "Better Call Saul" cuz I heard it was soooo good. Only watched a few first episodes and I dunno. Seems rather, well, dorky. Does it get better?
It's ok. I thought they spent too much time on his relationship with his brother. I get it, but it was too much. And not enough of Saul becoming Saul, like you saw in Breaking Bad. Also the last season felt off and incomplete, and just enough of an ending, I guess.

Having recently become hooked on Chinese and South Korean TV dramas, I've gone through about a dozen series and currently in the middle of watching the 2022 South Korean series Good Job :)

"Follows the joint investigation and romance story of a chaebol who leads a second life as a detective and a woman with super vision." (IMDb)

That one is quite entertaining. I prefer the sixteen to 24 episode Korean shows. I just finished the second season's finale of Alchemy Of Souls at Netflix. This one was a little long, maybe 28 episodes, but quite good. There is another show that's quite entertaining, and that is Descendants Of The Sun.

I hardly watch any of the new and highly politically correct American and EU shows anymore. But every now and then Tom Cruise comes up with good ones, and so Mel Gibson plus a few others.

My wife and I have been watching the second season of Picard, and all the duck lips make some actors and actresses or of "freakish," and political correctness is over the top for us. However, Rio and the Californian doctor are entertaining and easy to like. The same for Q, Agnes, and the Borg Queen. The former 7 of 9 is not bad, but that's about it for me. My wife loves anything that has to do with Star Trek, so she puts up with Picard and the rest of the show :)

Only trouble with some of those Chinese and South Korean TV dramas is the lips and dialogue not in sync. Drives me crazy and yes I know I'm anal!!!

Watching an ad for a major Australian supermarket chain. Filmed in Australia, using Australian actors, presumably speaking English (or an Aussie variant thereof), and they still can't get the lip syncing working...

Yeah, fortunately the series I've seen have all been fine apart from one where the subtitles timing was off. Found it on another site and it was in sync so probably just depends where you watch them. 🙂

HULU - NOS4A2. an aged man drives a 1937 Rolls Royce Wraith snatching children to take them to Christmas Land

Watched season one and then we lost track of it when season two dropped. The graphic novel is pretty darn good and I hear the book is pretty good also. May have to pick this one back up.

On season 3 of this show and love it. And I just heard they are going to make a sequel, limited series called "Justified: City Primeval," all these years later and still starring Timothy Olyphant

Had no idea a second season was coming... Watching Hunters II... About six episodes in and it isn't to shabby! Some good scenes and few twists and turns. I guess this is also the final season.

Finished the rig, not bad, a bit of a daft storyline. Some bad writing too.

Anyway now onto:

Basically it’s the game as a live TV series. Not sure why I expected anything else lol. Wonder if they’ll kill the star like in the second game? Hated TLOU2.
As I played the first game a few times it hasn’t surprised me yet, apart from they changed the race of Joel’s daughter, which seemed pointless to me as she’s only in it for like 15 minutes?………

……….I should add Ellie has been cast well, the young actress has perfectly picked up her attitude from the game character, and Joel is pretty good too, needs a beard though haha.
But for some odd reason they won’t have any spores in the show? A big part of the game..? Don’t get that. But it’s a good show so far.

This is going to make me want to play the game again lol.

If the dialog taking place is fast enough, there is no time to look at lips and things like that. The "lip out of sync" relates to low-budget shows from several years ago. Just watch the Korean and Chinese shows at Netflix, for example. South Korean filmmakers are already producing outstanding sci-fi and other shows; best of all most of the actors and actresses don't have "duck lips" like most older US and EU actors.

Binging my way thru "Wednesday" (on Netflix) right now...

Excellent show, have binged thru it numerous times, looking forward to the forthcoming limited series...

Binged it last Saturday and Sunday:

Watched a couple episodes of Kaleidoscope and didn't care for it. Think Money Heist ruined me!!!

I started it, got "Yellow" as my first episode...

Then went to the internet, found the chronological order, and watched it that way...

Out-of-order scenes (episodes) may have worked for "Pulp Fiction", but not so much here; of course one was a two & a half hour movie, this is five+ hours of episodic content...

But I do like a good heist flick / series...!

I have never played the game... having said that, I liked this show. Both me and the wife are in. We did watch a few Youtube videos on the show and I guess the main reason they didn't want to go the spores route was so that they didn't have to keep the characters in a gas like mask all of the time.

Really liked the opening sequence with the two scientists... very ominous and fit the show perfectly in my opinion.
