Superb episode of Slow Horses today, and the end credits was cleverly done too. I think it’s an interesting clever way how they are using dementia in this series too.

Talk about coincidence, I replied in the movie thread about how good The Matrix OG is, then I was googling Slow Horses to find out who the guy who wears the hoodie all the time is, and only then realise Agent Smith is in this season as the baddy! His accent is very good and his beard hides those Agent Smith looks, and h3 lacks his elf ears too of course lol.
Just finished this ep.

Was the "clever bit" in the end credits?

Take the basic structure of the original B&W Perry Mason detective series. Lawyer, attractive secretary, investigator. Convert it to vivid color. Make the lawyer very likeable and charismatic. Substitute 2 gorgeous and smart ex-wives for the secretary, a leather wearing ex-biker for the suited Paul Drake. Use shots of famous L.A. locations, patio shots from a house overlooking L.A., and food references (stewed goat taco anyone?) and you have:

Not unconventional as the latest Perry Mason but still solid with excellent dialogue, constant suspense and surprises. A solid offering on Netflix.

Beginning of Slow Horses tonight…

And the show lived up to its reputation tonight, if you know what the means you know… oh and the hoodie quiet guy actually did something useful too, briefly lol, I really don’t get his character at all.

And boy did it leave a LOT of lose ends, it’s the last episode today. Also I wonder if Jonathan Pryce will be in the next season? He must be getting on a bit even though actors never seem to retire lol.

as for Jack Lowden, was he just written out? Is it me or was he not in next seasons sizzle reel?

We started it when it first came out. The language was too off-putting.

We have started Murder in a Small Town. Usual story, cop moves to a small town and people start dying around them. However, the characters and acting are quite engaging. 5 stars.

Also, Season 2 of The Irrational has just started.

We love this show!! Both seasons have been good! Supposedly the new season drops in October... can't remember the date though.

Speaking of Perry Mason, have you watched the new Perry Mason show on HBO/MAX with Matthew Rhys? If not, highly recommend it. I don't know if they have gone past two seasons, but both seasons are really good.

Watching. Anticipating season 3 Oct 17. Good show.

Finished Bad Monkey yesterday, disappointed by the ending, should have finished earlier.

Finished also Soow Horses and I loved it! Of course, lots of inconsistencies (infinite ammo! Again, like in previous seasons) but I really enjoyed this season. Can’t wait for the next one!

I also finished Bad Monkey yesterday, enjoyed it; but then I am also a big fan of Carl Hiaasen's books, of which Bad Monkey is one...

I wonder when the next season will drop, as the whole "Next Season" thingie at the end of the last episode makes it look like a lot of filming is already done...?

Now I have to go find the Mick Herron books...

Bad Monkey really should have ended with a 90 minute episode IMHO. I Still really enjoyed the finale though. I can't remember if they hinted at a new season or not, I'm assuming there will be another season...

Slow Horses was good as well. As for the "infinite ammo" @gigatoaster , I just assume they reload out of our view... except the scene in the office when Moira was fumbling around with the hand gun lol.

I agree, it does look like the next season is in the can...

Not good news. Headline of The Guardian's review of the Apple TV+ series Disclaimer which starts tonight...

"Disclaimer review – only Cate Blanchett could deal with a script this abominable"

Razor Girl is the sequel book to Bad Monkey, and there is a copy of it seen in the opening "sand castle" dealio, so...

They have don’t the same end sizzle reel next season of Slow Horses for I think the last 2 seasons I think, definitely end of last season, so it’s nothing new, they won’t air the show till next year.
