Just watched the last of the 8-episode Korean's show at Netflix titled, The Trauma Center. It was quite good, but Netflix is getting expensive. Every few months there is an increase in cost, and other than the Korean shows my wife and I enjoy, Netflix is overloaded with junk that take several seconds for one to finally arrive to one's "profile."

Rakuten Viki, would be cheaper and faster for me, but this company does not have "Rakuten" gift cards at the local US stores (I don't use my credit card, and don't wants to use ApplePay). Yes, I understand that I could, but I don't want to :)

I've really enjoyed rewatching older stuff lately, because I've changed from watching episodes every week to binging it once the full season is out/aired. Currently waiting for full seasons of Will Trent S3, The Irrational S2 and Severance S2 to be complete, then watching those.

Yes, watching one episode per week get tedious. Netflix is doing that (one episode per week) even with some of the animé shows. I have been waiting for some of the shows I like the most to air all the episodes.

Back in the day all we had were weekly episodes, and if you missed an episode you could only hope to catch it in summer reruns; but now, with VOD streaming, I do prefer to binge entire seasons...

Not actually binging these right now (but I have in the past), but just watched S01E01 of both Sherlock (Benadryl Cummerbund & Morgan Freeman) & Elementary (Zero Cool & one of Charlie's Angels)... ;^p

I finished Black Clover on Netflix, so now I need something else. I think I will try to finish some of the series where I lost interest (Dexter S2, Breaking Bad S1), or restart Lost (Got to S3 back in the day but my network dropped it, and have always wanted to finish it), or Fringe (Got to season 3 with the wife, then she lost interest. I will start from S1E1 on that one).

Just wanted to mention last week's episode of Call the Midwife.
They dealt with the problem of what happens when you don't vaccinate.
A child caught measles, before vaccinations were available, and became brain damaged and physically crippled. His mother then became an advocate for vaccination.
Then this weeks episode dealt with a man living in an iron lung because he had caught polio as an adult.
I used to live on an island where, a couple of hundred years ago, the population was wiped out by measles.
My own grandfather spent his last decades in a wheelchair because of tetanus, which he got before tetanus shots were available.

I really get p*ssed off when people say vaccinations aren't necessary.

Just finished The Watcher on Netflix. I think they could have made it a lot better, the idea has some potential, but the execution is not the best. And the cast is okay, but it feels like they were instructed to overemphasize and act like in those soap operas from a couple of decades ago. Pity.

I started Paradise, it’s good better than the average shows of these past few years. However why do they always have to put family drama? I don’t care about dying kid, it doesn’t bring anything to the plot, it’s lazy character development and what about real people who really lost a kid, what are they suppose to feel when they see a kid diving on TV?!

Just finished the season of Beast Games. Never watched anything from Mr. Beast until this. I really enjoyed this reality show.

WOW!

i loved the new show and a huge dexter™ fan, i also liked the snowball one as well
this series was special as these characters resembled the origin to a T!
yes there were some intangibles, lazy script writing but i'm happy they
respected the original plot and satisfied with the entire series.

I mostly agree, and do like the series very much. The one exception is the casting of Deb, Dexter’s sister. Given the Jennifer Carpenter Deb in the original Dexter series and in flashbacks for the snowball series, the actor playing Deb in Original Sin is just wrong. Other than the same foul mouth she neither looks, nor acts, nor has the intelligence of the OG Deb. Big miss here for me.

what is "resurrection"?
maybe i don't want to know!

i think they should create another season
they can depict how Brian gets his practice, Dexter gets his boat
Mastuka the clap, and deb gets her (insert foul-mouthed verb here)!

i can write a script or two......

We started again Dexter a few months ago…we are now approaching the end of season 7! Shows were better honestly compared to what we have today.

Resurrection is the new Dexter series premiering June 2025:

Original Sin which just finished S1: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt32252772/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_4_nm_4_in_0_q_Dexter%20Ori

Everyone hoping for a S2 and I think it's coming but not formally announced yet.
