Which TV Series Are You Binging On?

Because I am trying to watch TV not read. 🙂

Reading and writing are two of the crowning glories of civilisation.

However, without some idea of your viewing preferences, it would be difficult to recommend something to watch.

I like anything that is an escape from reality.
Game of Thrones, sci fi, fantasy, but I also watch football and stand up or other comedy’s.

Well, they’ll be completely recasting the series every few seasons, starting with season 3.

Olivia Colman as the Queen and Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret!
It can't NOT be amazing with them in it.

Agreed that soaps and reality TV are awful.

Okay, current affairs, (but that is not a TV series), is another thing I will watch, and yes, absolutely, BBC nature programmes/documentaries (and history documentaries).

The past few weeks we finished S01 of Babylon Berlin.

Bloody brilliant!

If you can, see it in the original German with subtitles. The English dubbing is just so-so…

DC's Titans. It's pretty edgy but the plot is engaging and the action is great.

Here's hoping it comes to Netflix or Amazon in the future. I'd like to see the DC offerings, but don't want to invest in their streaming service.

Just finished the second season of Mars on National Geographic Channel. While I enjoyed it, I found it a bit tedious at times with all of the global warming/climate change preaching.

I liked the first season but then we switched cable companies and don’t get Nat Geo. Guess I have to wait for the dvds. Do you know if there will be a third season? I hate to google it myself because the results sometimes have spoilers right in the headlines.

According to @RootBeerMan, there won't be a third season. I haven't been able to find any definitive information either way.

Television was more open up until the late 1990s. Can you imagine The Fast Show today making the same gags they did then or more daring ones? There's few shows that challenge authority but they're all so very late at night.
