Which uses more iPhone energy?

    Hi guys,

    I'm curious if you know which uses more energy, recieving twitter push notifications via data or recieving two the notifications via SMS?

    I don't think there's any definitive metrics available to discern how efficient one is over the other. I also think the energy usage of one over the other is so minute that its really immaterial, but that's just my opinion

    I doubt there would be any difference between the 2 since they both use an already open connection to receive.

    Historically 3rd party notifications have used up more battery than native apps, so I would be inclined to go with that answer.
