I am driving myself mad with my inability to settle on a watch face. I keep switching from busy to simple, analogue to digital. Then I miss the seconds and switch back to analogue then back to lots of complications again. And then the cycle starts again. I just can't decide! Which watch face do you use and why??

Nike digital in various colours depending on time of day and mood. Also have some minimalistic versions of the analog Nike watch face, when I want even more style over function.

Apples watch faces might be utilitarian, and avoids the fixed Nike shortcut, but lacks on style in my opinion. Have yet to find one i like and keep.

I have tried setting up an apple modular watch face just for shortcuts, so I could swipe to left and lunch what I want. But in reality I never uses it.

I use Modular most of the time. Utility when I want to feel like I'm wearing a time piece, activity digital when I'm focused on getting through my numbers for the day, and a Photos one for my favorites that I do whenever I miss my wife because I'm away on work trips or ... for any reason really.

I too find most of the watch faces unusable. I used to just have Utility, then Modular then decided I'd have both on there so I could switch when I wanted to because I don't feel the same all the time.

Would love to customize Utility more. A second counting second hand, different hands, but in the end, it works. I wear my watch all day and all night.

If you can't decide, add what you like and switch whenever you feel like it. Can't do that with a regular watch. :)

OP I think its perfectly fine to have more than one watch face and switch between them as the situation (or your mood) warrants. That's part of what makes the Apple Watch useful in my mind. Both the faces and the watch bands can easily be changed as needed. I have a half dozen I use regularly:
  • Infographic Modular for doing work around the house. Has a complication for setting a laundry timer, a messages complication so I can see if I've missed anything (usually try to leave my phone in the bedroom on the weekends and unplug a little), detailed weather forecast, and activity rings. Usually pair this with a midnight blue sport band.
  • Chronograph/Simple/Utility for work with weather, activity, stocks complications. Pair these with a leather band.
  • Modular face for working out. Has detailed activity complication in the middle and small complications for workout, music, timer, and weather. Paired with a Nike sport band.
  • Color (if I want an analog face) or Solar (if I want a digital face) for hanging out with friends or family. I only have the date and weather on these faces. I want as few distractions as possible in these situations.

Infograph modular mostly but it irritates me that I can't just put the time large in the center.

I really like Kaleidoscope, and if I want more info than just the time, the live Jellyfish works

Modular ... however, I typically change the text color to the color of the shirt I am wearing. White shirt - white text, blue shirt - blue text, etc. I was completely lost one day when I wore a black shirt

I switch between watch faces throughout the day. I prefer the high-information faces while I'm at work, so I swipe between an Infograph face and a Modular face (because the modular face can show a couple of complications that don't yet work on Infograph).

In the evenings I prefer simple watch faces that display less information. I might choose an elegant Simple or Utility face, or one of the animated faces like fire, water, jellyfish, or butterflies.

I sometimes use the Siri face, and I have a couple of faces for specific situations. I have a travel face with travel-based complications, and a shopping face with apps I use while I'm at the grocery store (Complications for Bring, texting my wife, etc.).

Most using two different infograph faces: one is full of complications for the daily hours, and in the evening I switch to another infograph with only corner complications and the monogram "apple" in the top subdial slot.

I use different watch faces based on occasion and my outfit. Why settle with one when you can have many...

My favorite face is the Infograph. I like the looks of it.

However, the one I use 99% of the time is Activity Digital. Since I'm always working on closing my rings, I prefer the large readout so I know exactly where I stand at a glance. I've added that complication to the Infograph face, but have to stop and look real close to see those tiny numbers. So typically I'll just use this face instead.

I switch depending on what I'm doing. Mickey or Rainbow or Utility depends. Each one is set differently. If I'm traveling I like to have two times zones visible.

I use a few, but the first one stays up 99% of the time. The others are kinda there just in case.
