Button on the right.

Unless I'm laying in bed on my right side (because than, if I want landscape mode, you'll go to portrait - so the button must be left than).

I lock my iPhone in portrait mode. I just can't stand losing all that screen real estate when sideways and the keyboard is up.

The iPad though gets turned every which way, whatever I feel like at the time.

I just started using my phone with my left hand. I used to use my right hand and turn the phone to the left (home button on the right) but while using my left hand it's a bit difficult to do I think. So I switched to home on the left

When I watch a video in landscape, I MUST turn to the left, having the home button on the right.

However, I would like to turn to the right so that the home button is on the left and the volume control buttons on the top. But, if I do this, the video is upside down!

Why can't I have simultaneously the volume control buttons on the top and the video upright? Any solutions?

It depends which end I want my uneven backlight to be at. The top right of the screen is terribly darker than the rest.

Left handed and button on the left.

I do my iPad the other way though to keep buttons on the top and because the smart cover sits nicer that way when its attached.

Although i fund the phone more comfortable that way it does cause issues with the camera being at the bottom (under my hand).

Lol - I've actually wondered this at times. I always have home button to the right, but if I have a headphone cable in, then my hand gets in the way - then I tend to have home button to the left (though it feels less natural)

this. Lefty, so to the left and it seems like righties go right

lol, two words...
bluetooth headset
love mine and no wires to tangle up,

so to answer the original question, i tend to flip both ways...the phone that is, just depends on which hand i'm using

Home button on left.

I got used to using it like a camera with the volume buttons on top for the shutter release

That's exactly what I'm going for. I just wish there was a way to change the default landscape orientation so videos and such didn't load with the home button on the right.

Mostly portrait anyway; in few cases landscape with volume button up (home button left);

But it can be different when connected to charger and depend on cable flow ...
