Safari, most of the time.

For EweTube, I use DuckDuckGo's browser, as it blocks virtually (if not all) ads, and it's free. They've just added an AI feature, which I haven't played with yet (I tend not to use AI, but every so often...)

Safari for most things, Arc if I need Chromium compatibility or for the few sites I have that I need my extensions and custom Boost scripts and styles on.

But if I'm trying to throw something open in a hurry I can have a page fully loaded in Safari before Arc even finishes launching. The Chrome overhead is ridiculous.

I didn't vote since my usage is platform dependent. Chrome (and a bit of Firefox) in macOS and Safari (with Chrome keychain) in iOS. I update Safari in macOS in order to have it available in iOS.

Chrome basically won the browser wars. Something like 70% of all internet traffic is based on chromium, which is why it feels so fast, as most websites are optimized for it. When you say you use Microsoft Edge, you are really just using another chromium based browser.

Anyway, I try to avoid Google, so I predominantly use Safari (webkit) on iOS and a combination of Firefox/webkit based browsers on the mac.

Usually keep safari as default, but I use Firefox 50% of the time. As I don’t use macs only, keeping the browsers on different devices synced is a must.

Safari is set to default on my MacBook Pro and iPhone but usually switch between that and Edge, with Chrome as a last resort – for some reason the apps I use for work (booking holidays, checking wage slips) only seems to behave best with Chrome over Edge/Safari on macOS but is (weirdly) fine on my iPhone!

For some months I have tried Vivaldi. Better sync, more customization.

But on iPhone there is no better adblocker than Safari with 1Blocker and SponsorBlock. So I needed to go back.

I've been using Firefox for what seems like forever. I only have four extensions: KISS and all that.

uBlock Origin is probably the most important: ads? What ads? I also like that you can alter the appearance – or even remove – annoying items from websites you use regularly.

I find mouse-gestures improve browsing significantly – it surprises me that browsers don't have this built-in – and use Gesturely for that.

Firefox's containers are only a click away, which makes being logged in to a site under different personas simple.

It has the expected tab grouping and pinning features too.

A neat new feature is split view, which let's you view two tabs side-by-side in the same view.

I also like Firefox's cookie management. I like to delete cookies when quitting, with a few overrides. Firefox manages that simply.

I try to use Safari from time to time, but with no cookie management or gestures, it's a non-starter – I tried using BetterTouchTool for the latter, but it didn't end well. I'm a Google refusenik, so Chrome is not an option.

Safari when I need to save battery or watch videos with Spatial Audio support, Firefox for everyday browsing, and Brave for when certain sites require Chromium to work.

I think it was also the first browser to implement many features now copied by others (vertical tabs, page screenshots ...)

Chrome had vertical tabs in one of its first versions (they were removed later, only to be reintroduced now), and Firefox had (at least) a few famous vertical tab add-ons before the Mozilla failguys killed XUL.

OmniWeb even had vertical tabs in the 90s as far as I know?
edit: Or, at least, 2012. Vivaldi did not appear before 2015.

Safari for almost everything, but I still have Brave if I need a rather private Chromium browser, and Firefox for some formal stuff. But those are exceptionally used, 95% of my usage falls within Safari.

Firefox on the desktop, and Edge in the rare cases that a website has an issue with Firefox. Safari and Samsung Internet on mobile.

catholic (universal) tastes here, I regularly use safari, Firefox, and opera (capitalization due to macrumors site) - no particular reason other than probably to muddy the water a bit (paranoia perhaps)

Safari is my main browser, and it doesn't look like it will change any time soon. I've kept Arc as my backup, though I seldom need it. From time to time I get curious, and check out other browsers. I used to use Firefox on Windows, back when I still used that machine, but never really used it on macOS. I really wanted to like Vivaldi, but never really took to it. Out of nostalgia, I installed Opera, and I think it could look good, but there's something about it I don't like, and that's not mentioning their current corporate structure.

I've even tried Dia and Comet, to see what the fuss is about, but I don't get AI browsers. What is the point? I never once thought of a way to use the AI in them.

Maybe I should see if iCab is still around.
