What do you all think will sell out quickest on Pre-Order day? Sport Gray w/Black Band?? Stainless Steel Plastic Band?

"Sell out" as in long wait times

As others have said, space grey sport. It is an affordable entry level price and black/dark grey is most popular (as shown by iPhone sales).

I hope they don't sell out of the SS with leather loop, I plan on going to the Apple Store on the 25th April and picking one up. I've said this about iPhones and iPads in the past and never been able to get one on launch weekend because they have sold out so quick.

I'm guessing they won't sell out. They have had months to gauge demand and plan production. They want people to be able to take their time inside the stores and try them on, etc.

So are these watches actually shipping with the bands in the box or are they separate and bundled together? To me it would make much more sense for them to go that route but I get the vibe that's not the case?

I wonder if they are using the new "Favorites" list in the Apple Store app to gauge demand.

But they have months to plan every iPhone release, and they still always sell out. Why should the watch be any different?

That's some valid reasoning you got there. Good thinking.

Are you serious? Or sarcastic?

I also believe there will be ample supply. Perhaps the Editions may sell out due to limited stock, but the Sports and SS will be in stock.

One reason: China is on the list of countries for the first wave. Apple needs to gaurantee that enough supply will be available. Plus, It also means NO Chinese scalpers. I just hope China will be on the list for the next iPhone release. I think Apple took notice of the absurdity of the iPhone 6 launch.

I wish you were able to put accessories in that list as well. I put the two watches I plan on ordering in the favorites list, but I can't do the same thing with the extra bands I plan on getting. My thinking is that when we have the great server crash of April 10th, the favorites list will hopefully help me get my order processed through easier.

Because demand is off the charts for each new iPhone. This is going to have smaller audience.

Smaller audience, yes. But most of them are going to be waiting to get it on day one, or as soon after as possible.

That is, say Apple expects to sell 10 million in a year. I'd estimate that at least 5 million people will try to buy it on day one. There is no way Apple can make and stockpile half of a year's worth of products for day one. Well, they could, but that would introduce lots and lots of inefficiency in the supply chain, which we know Tim Cooks hates. Hence, there will be shortages.

The space grey is the obvious answer, but we don't know how many they'll stock versus the others. They're not going to have equal supply of each model.
