iPod touch white blank screen?! HELP!

i just got my ipod touch (8GB) on july 21st. it worked great, until now.
it was showing the music screen and i pressed the men button and it didnt work. so i turned it off and then on again and now its just a white screen!!
i tried plugging it into the computer and it didnt help!
please please help me!!!

Press and hold both buttons for about 15 sec, it should reset.

Help Ipod White Screen

I see your info about holding menu and off/on switch for 15 seconds to reset and it didn't work for me. Can you offer anything else? I just got this for Xmas 08. No idea why it is all white? Will not do anything, I tried to restore. nothing.
