Given that a percentage of people on the forum do not like the new iMac's glossy screen, what is your opinion on how well the old 24" iMac will hold it's value? Before the announcement, I planned to purchase one of the new iMacs to hold me over for photograpy work until Apple updated the Mac Pro, which I figure is still 2 to 4 months away. My iMac G5 is just not cutting it with Aperture. But when I saw the new iMac screens were glossy, I purchased a brand-new (old/white) 24" iMac from Amazon for $1594. When the new Mac Pros come out I will sell it on eBay. My thought is the demand may start to go up for those old machines as designers and photographers shy away from the glossy screens on the new iMacs. Anybody care to speculate? Also, I'd like to hear from anyone who is using Aperture with the 2.16 GHz iMac with 3GB of RAM. Is Aperture speedy enough for you on that machine?
