white iphone 3gs discolored back

i just got the iphone 3gs in white, and the back plate is blotchy, its completely smooth and glossy but it looks like some parts are thinner than others. is anyone else seeing this same problem?

i think im going to try and return it.

Can you take a picture of it? I think it's just your imagination. Usually, when you buy something knew that you've been looking forward to you usually look for faults in it.
