Called Knoxville, TN Apple Store to see if they had a waiting list or anything... Guy didn't have a clue what I was talking about, didn't even know about the press conference. He checked their store website and said there wasn't an option to reserve one or anything... Anyone hear different from an Apple Store?

How about you take a minute to realize that there's something called "server lag"? If I'd seen another thread about the date (not a speculation thread) I'd have gladly posted in there.

Now, according to Ars Technica:
- Limited quantities
- No pre-order, "shipping" the end of July. Not sure what that means.
 
I'm talking about the many existing white iPhone threads that you, me and everyone else has been posting in. Why make a new thread for this?
 
Man I really want it to come out on the 23 or 24th, damn I wanna exchange mine so bad!! WTF APPLE.
 
Im going on vacation from the 15th of August to the 19th. I really hope i can show off my phone on the trip. So when he said the 30th, that means lines at apples stores early morning on the Friday the 30th?

At least they said "ships end of July" and not "available end of July", so we should get our phones then and not 2-3 weeks later, in August.

So is anyone sure what that actually means? Does that mean you can walk into a store and get one on the 30th? Or can you order one on their website and pick it up on the 30th? Or they will begin shipping to stores on the 30th and be available sometime after that?

Seems like it was so vague.

hmm well i hope you are right but I have a feeling its shipping to stores in limited supply at the end of the month, not shipping to us.
 
so I guess, as it were, you guys will get the white iphone on the very same day as us canadians who had to wait and wait and wait

If that's the case, we're all ****ed. Limited supply, in Apple's history, has usually meant a handful per store. If they only send 100 or so to each store, no way I'll be able to get one. :(
 
Y'know over thought I think I'm just gonna forget about all this smartphone business until my SLVR falls to pieces in my hands. I don't really need one.
