I go to school full-time, I have part-time a job (not on-campus) , I went out this weekend to a house party and the next day jammed guitar with 4 friends in a music studio til 2 in the morning. I ran 2 miles each day, and became an officer for a University Club. Can I be excited now?

No because you didn't tell us what your GPA was, j/k:D

Really everyone has their own right to be excited about it.
I'm just not.

white makes the screen look smaller. why do you want that?

Amazingly though, it doesn't actually make the screen any smaller:rolleyes:

It's a unique look really. Not for me, but how many other white smart phones are there out there? Odd how seemingly upset some people get with an alternate choice, just because it doesn't suit their own taste. I bet they sell millions of them.

3.5 ;) Yeah I understand why some people on the internets may seem to be over doing it. It is just a color but it looks pretty cool to me.

Anyone else notice that the video of the white iphone 4 going up for sale in Hong Kong is using the old proximity sensor? I.E not REAL?

I am guessing they used existing footage. I am looking to trade my i4 black for a white one. Haven't figured out how though.

Exactly.

The White is the tipping point for me. I need a new phone but I don't want to wait another year until Apple comes out with v. 5.

Might look sharp with a black bumper. Very Star Wars Storm Trooper.

We all know who was first

Steve was.

Available on AT&T web store

I just ordered my upgrade on the AT&T web store in the US. Lost my black one a week ago in Vegas, so this is perfect timing:)

all I see in here are a bunch of bitter people. In other news, I'm picking mine up tomm! (switching my black one in for white since im in my 30 day policy...att store)

This sounds like my situation (if I end up deciding to pay the restocking fee and all), but I had a question to anyone that could answer (my apologies for something I assume is rather naive but I haven't traded an iPhone in before lol). If I already registered my iPhone (bought this weekend) with the AppleCare for it, how would the transfer process go between this current phone and the one I'd be exchanging it for (if possible)? I feel like I should know this for having owned a few Macs and stuff for a while but I've never come across this situation personally lol

Well some people have plenty of money to spend on gadgets. So what? On the other hand, if you're on a budget, it wouldn't make sense to buy an iPhone 4 so late in its life cycle - probably not the best value.

Obviously it's a marketing move by Apple to breathe life into iPhone 4 sales, since they're aware the iPhone 5 won't be out for several months. They probably ironed out the manufacturing kinks some time ago, but waited until the spring/summer period when people expect a new iPhone. It will help distract from the fact that there's no iPhone 5 this summer, and it will help reinvigorate sales.

This exactly. But people will still want the white one so they can sell it all they want. They knew this the whole time. No one is gonna order a black one now when the new white one just came out...

Umm, did anybody else notice the white iPhone at the end of the HK video is the "original" white iPhone 4 with the less visible proximity sensor?
I guess they were just using old footage from the initial release?

I'm surprised people seem to have problems with the timing of the release with regards to the iPhone 5.

99% of people aren't massive geeks (like us:() and have no idea about when Apple might launch a new phone. They'll just walk into their phone store when their contract ends and go "Ooh look! A white one! That's pretty, I'll take one of those please."

And for the next 4 months Apple pump up their sales until the next big thing comes along.

Everyone's a winner!

Except people like me who quite fancy an iPhone 5. Still, there's worse things that could happen in life eh?!

Well you have to respect Apple for thier attention to detail and refusing to ship the white phone till they got it right, Jobs probably rejected dozens of version till it was white enough :)
