I originally wanted a white but ordered a black on launch day due to the white not being available. I'll definitely be picking up a white as soon as it becomes available!

My apologies if I'm missing something obvious, but what are the dots to the right of the front facing camera? Above the voice speaker. My black iPhone doesn't seem to have them.

They are the ambient light/proximity sensors - they show up on the black when in sunlight.
Ah right, thanks. I assumed that's what they were but didn't realise they showed up so much more on the white.
Side effect of having to make the case entirely opaque. You can put a one-way coating in there, but it makes the glass appear dark (like tinted windows in a car). Because the glass is normally black, you can hide it pretty well. Can't really do that with an opaque white, hence the 'dots' which are the openings to let light into the sensors.
I like the white iphone and will likely get one after I have a chance to see it in person.
I will NOT, however, adorn it with a pink bumper and a Hello Kitty wallpaper!

If this is real I wonder why the white one has holes over the prox sensor? I have a black one and there is no holes over the sensor. IDEAS? Maybe they figured there was a problem with the glass debilitating the prox sensor and they solved it with the white model.

No ****. How they can call it feminine is beyond me. Especially for WHITE. It's white, Jesus Christ. It's not like it's a glittery pink phone with diamonds or something. These dudes are insecure as hell. I'm buying white. Same as the 3G and 3GS. White is classic Apple. It's what Apple is about.. think different. Not the same boring, black casing that every other cell phone in the world is made of. Is it a Blackberry? Is it an Android? A Windows Mobile phone? Oh wait.. it's a boring, black iPhone. NO THANKS.

Agree with you pretty much. An all white phone is a rarity in the market and it will stand out, no question. What's hilarious are all the crazy (mostly males from what I can gather) jumping in with shots about it's 'femininity'. Guy's need a biology lesson.
