After nearly 4.5 years with the black iPhone I felt it was time for a change. I will be honest and say that I was unsure of my choice once I saw it and held it in my hand, it was so different. But it has grown on me after almost 24 hours with it and it reminds me of my original iPod. I'm happy with my choice, looks nice.

I like it a lot in white. The only things that are hard to get used to for me:

Depending on where the light in the room is, the shadow for where the speaker hole is cut out moves and makes it look like it is off centered (hard to explain, I thought it was cut wrong when I got it)

Because of this (above) it was really hard to put on my powersupport screen protector!

Dust under screen protector looks dirty (fixed by getting it out with scotch tape)

Otherwise it is wonderful and I am so glad that I bought it in white!!!

Threads like this are retarded when people associate colors with gender.

Pink is only gender specific because people stereotype it to them.
same as purple and homosexuals.

however my faverate color is purple,
you say white is associated with woman, why? its a good looking/sleek color on phone.
and i LIKE IT.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. I would totally be rocking the purple iPhone if they came out with just the right color.

Wanted white iPhone 4. Didn't work out with Apple's delay. It helps to have one white and one black when there are two same model iPhones in the house. Ofcourse having different cases is also an option, but not as good as having a white iPhone!!!

I love the white, and mine isn't remotely cream tinted at all, it's a brilliant blinding snow white color, really intense..

I wear a lot of black, so the contrast works for me.

I'd really be down with the right shade of deep lavender though, that would rule..

I got mine in white (First iPhone ever!). My fiance got his in black even though he wanted white because he's a mechanic, and we can tell them apart. Right now mine has a purple case on it and his has a black plaid case.

I'm a girl.

I'm liking the White as fingerprints aren't nearly as much of an issue. The screen is easy to clean off but I felt like I had to do it all the time with my black iPhone 4.

It is definitely whiter than the white iPad 2, which looks almost beige in comparison. Not as white as it is in the promotional images though.

*LOVE* the white; I made the right choice, no doubt. I have friends who purchased the black iP4S and are now regretting it.

Mine is also blindingly white.

Of course. I have been purchasing white iPhones since they first started making them. At first I had people make comments that white was supposed to be for girls. I would just look at them with a confused look and say, you do realize this is a phone right ? Followed by a stream of laughs at them.

Seriously, what kind of an idiot judges someone by the color of their phone.

Liking my white iPhone 4s :D

My first white iPhone (or any phone actually), and I love it. Definitely happy with the choice

This is my first White iPhone and it's great. I wanted to get the iPhone 4 in white, but we all know what happened with that... Lol

I posted a while back but got chewed out since I can't take pics....But just a caution that cases and bumpers have worn the paint off of the plastic edge of my white 4.

There's little black specks on the top and bottom. Plus the home button has a little speck of something that won't come out no matter what.

Just a caution I guess - I love it otherwise.

Whos where did you get that bumper?

Its one of the knock-off bumpers from SW-Box. I think its just as good as my Apple bumper. Just got them today, it takes a while to get them since they are overseas. I'll have to see how it holds up.

probably one of the stupider things i have agonized over in my life... white looks nice, more flashy, shows scratches less. black less flashy/attention grabbing (for theft, coming off as a rich prick when most of my friends don't have one). In either case I am planning on putting a dark incipio ngp or similar case over it... something that covers the sides, lip over the top and back.

currently i have no ipod telophone. just sold my ipod nano and android phone... waiting for things to settle down with sprint so i can beg for an early upgrade. but questions of color and case are killing me.

associating gender and color is stupid. it is clearly a class issue... black is business dress, white is tuxedo.

edit: As I don't plan on having it stolen, i'm currently leaning toward white with black ngp case. I'm a ska musician and the 2-tone thing would be nice, and glass over white isn't as easy to stain or get dirty as rubber/plastic white. But I might go for a more modest all black. Maybe my opinion on here isn't that relevant, though.

The black one looks almost like a PSP or something. When you're holding a white iPhone, people KNOW it's an iPhone. When you're holding a black one, people could think it's one of the other hundreds of smartphone devices out there (unless you look closely).

Some phones from the back look very similar to the iPhone 4(S) from a distance.

Why is it important for people to KNOW you have an iPhone or any specific make of phone?

I went with black b/c black makes it look like one seamless unit. The white highlights the screen when in standby, and shows all the sensors, front camera, etc...and I didn't like how the metal band around the phone looks against the white.

All my personal preferences but has nothing to do with making sure people know I have an iphone or anything to do with one color being more masculine than the other.

Was concerned I made the wrong choice before it arrived.
Couldn't be happier with my decision, looks fantastic.

Side note, applying screen protectors on a white iPhone is not fun. :p

I was just wondering if OP actually thought that a whole bunch of people who spent a goodly amount of money on a new phone were going to say - "I just got my new, white iPhone, and I really HATE it! I'm so disgusted with this WHITE phone, I can't stand it. I'm a guy, and everyone will think I'm a girl. I'm sending it back today."

I mean, really!! What did you actually expect.
