I have 12 cases so far.. but at the moment using this simple clear on the sides / matte on the back case I got for a buck on eBay.

You know after my crazy, almost a bit neurotic searching for the perfect case, I have to agree that the cheapie cases from eBay are really good. I bought 5 in various colors from a vendor in China. The cases themselves are extremely thin and provide basic scratch protection only. Understanding the limited protection, the cases are well designed, fit decent and are made well. The only problem I had was that they came in a plain brown envelope and a couple of them were damaged and bent in shipping. Due to the price of the shipping being more than the actual cost of the case I didn't send them back. I rather ordered some more with a plea for better packaging from the vendor.

So I have to agree that once I get the replacements and get a chance to actually use them for a few weeks, they might end up being my favorites - I ordered a few as they were just $1.58 a piece. I went on the site to look at also getting some colors and the price went up to $1.88 so it looks like the demand has gone up.

The only other downfall is that you can't be impatient as it takes around 2 weeks or longer to get the package from this vendor from China.

Case looks nice! Any issues with this case getting dirty? If so is it easy to clean?

As much as I liked the white Power Support, the edges by the corners were starting to stain in only 3 days. As with my past experience with soft feel cases, once the staining starts, nothing will clean it back to white.

Yup and also for your money, you get more to choose from. Mind sharing a link to the ones you're purchasing? They sound good.

Mind sharing the link you got that case from? =D

I'm getting sick and tired of my Spigen case coming off of my phone..

Here you go!

http://www.ebay.com/itm/310495338056?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

Doesn't cover the top like in the pictures. Also needs a bit of a mod.. as in squish it in a bit so the sides fit more tight with the phone :) It's perfect after just a small squeeze haha.

I'm using the Twelve South BookBook in black, to me the be all end all of phone cases. The white iPhone really pops in a black leather case, love it! In fact, I waited to upgrade until Twelve South came out with a case for the 5.

SPG Ultra Thin Air Soft Clear

I've been using my SPG Ultra Thin Air soft clear case for about a month now. I wanted semi clear case that still shows the gorgeous back of the phone while providing scratch protection when being slid on tables, etc. Some scuff marks and light scratches have started to appear on the case through use (see picture, scuffs starting to be visible near the edges of the case).

One unexpected element of the case was spigen's term when they said soft clear. When I bought the case I thought that soft clear meant a soft touch finish a la incipio feather / incase snap case for the iphone 4. Spigen's finish is more of a frosted finish as opposed to a rubberized one.

The bottom port is completely open which meant that 30 pin to lightning adapter attaches as if there was no case. I'm very satisfied with the case, but I do have one gripe. The cutout surrounding the volume buttons and vibrate switch feels quite sharp.

That sucks but glad to hear that you like it.

I ordered two more of these.cases to try to get one good one. No such luck - the first one was scratched again and the 2nd one was missing the camera ring. I give up and will be sticking with the Spigen white thin which is a great case. I know I've said this before but unless I see the absolute perfect case on one of these threads, I'm all done.

I'll be swapping between the Spigen thin in white, my multiple cheapie dollar cases and the Elago thin.

It appears like my cheapie cases look like they came from the same mold as yours. I agree that all you need to do is squish in the sides a bit before you put it on the phone and the fit is nice and snug but very easy to take off to switch to a different color.

Here's the link.

Less than a month. I loved it when it was white but now that its yellow, it's ugly. And customer service said that they made this one looser than the iPhone 4 version because customers complained. Now it's too loose.

I don't know if you'd be interested after your not-so-great experience with the Neo Hybrid, but I just saw that SPG is now offering a thinner and tighter version called Neo Hybrid Slim. I doubt they've fixed the yellowing issue though.

I want to love it as I always thought the bumper should've been thinner, but I lost faith in that company. Thanks for the heads up! Hope you'll find a better case than I did ;)

Does the case scratch the phone though; when removed ?

I'm using a Case-Mate Tough in Marine Blue/Gray on my white iPhone. Great color combo that gets compliments. It's also very protective with great grip in a very slim form. It's my favorite case that I have tried.

Anyone have any suggestions that cases that do not scratch the phone itself when removed ?

I don't blame you. And their prices are too high to risk it. I still haven't received my Neo Hybrid (it took a week before they even put it in the mail!) but I'm wondering if, when it arrives, I should exchange it for the Slim version or just return it and ask for a refund based on your poor experience. I had no idea finding a case would be so hard (this is my first iPhone). I wish you luck in your search too!

The slim version of the Neo Hybrid was only just released so I don't think anyone has had time to test them yet, but I wouldn't think scratching would be an issue since it is two pieces and the silicone band is all that touches the phone. That being said, I haven't been overly impressed with SPG's customer service, the white silicone is reported to yellow very quickly, and their prices are high, so take that into account too.

I haven't taken the Case-Mate Tough case off yet and don't plan to because I like it so much, but I don't see how it could scratch the phone at all. It's a two piece case with a flexible rubber bumper that goes on first, and then the back snaps on over the bumper.

I ordered and received this today. Unbelievable case for the money. I would compare it to the Spigen soft clear which costs 20 times as much. And with the Spigen, I couldn't get one that wasn't scratched or damaged to begin with. This case was perfect but I'm not sure why they felt the need to put a cutout for the SIM card. The side has a tad of flex in that area. Still really like this case and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a slim clear/frosted back case. Thanks for sharing Minhimal.
