In July, Apple said that manufacturing of the white hardware proved "more challenging to manufacture" than the company had originally anticipated.

From all the rumors, it looks like a cornucopia of reasons:

1- Home button and glass parts don't match.
2- Paint too thin = light bleed
3- Paint too thick = proximity sensor issues
4- Flash bleed on back panel
5- Yellowing of white paint

In all honesty, we may never see a white iPhone 4, and if the iPhone 5 keeps the same design, we may be in for another round of 'guess the release date'.

However its interesting that they cant get white right when they have white macbooks and in the past most of their product line was white.. lol

Get a black one then get a white incase slider and BOOM! Protection, non voided warranty and you can switch it up if you get bored of black.

This may be a hint that iPhone 5 will have same design as iPhone 4. Witch I don't doubt. The only thing that makes me doubt it it's the antenna issue.
