Is that Phil Schiller?
How do we know thats really him? Doesn't sound like a very Apple thing to do.
Just 10 months late... I still remember waking up early to place that preorder to find out it wasn't available with no warning what so ever.
My fiancee still like the white one a lot but who would get a new phone now with the iPhone 5 just around the corner?
Not many people who frequent these forums, but plenty of people don't care/don't know about the iPhone 5. I was at an apple store today and heard two separate buyers asking for one. Both eventually bought them too so it's not unheard of.
It doesn't seem like Apple would do such a thing.
I'm sure the iPhone 4 will become the cheap model (replacing the 3gs) once the next iPhone comes out. So it will remain relevant for another year or so even after the next gen launches, hence people buying white versions.
I never liked the white, but to each their own.
It does seem strange to release a White iPhone 4 so close to the release of the iPhone 5. . .

So, what would the white phone be? A soon to be outdated model or the same as the next iphone? If they've already produced them, why wouldn't they sell them? It's not like Apple coming out with a white iPhone 4 would prevent people from purchasing an iPhone 5 three months later so why not?

Unless he was referring to the iPhone 5, which might also indicate that the iPhone 5 is only an incremental update much like the 3GS was to the 3G.
