Is that Phil Schiller?

How do we know thats really him? Doesn't sound like a very Apple thing to do.

Just 10 months late... I still remember waking up early to place that preorder to find out it wasn't available with no warning what so ever.

My fiancee still like the white one a lot but who would get a new phone now with the iPhone 5 just around the corner?

Not many people who frequent these forums, but plenty of people don't care/don't know about the iPhone 5. I was at an apple store today and heard two separate buyers asking for one. Both eventually bought them too so it's not unheard of.

I agree. I was thinking more in terms of the hardcore Apple fans. It's nice for them to release it so late and to talk about what a beauty it is.

I'm sure the iPhone 4 will become the cheap model (replacing the 3gs) once the next iPhone comes out. So it will remain relevant for another year or so even after the next gen launches, hence people buying white versions.

I never liked the white, but to each their own.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7E18 Safari/528.16)

In Spring when people check Apple.com it will see White iPhone 4 "We got a surprise for you in Summer 2011"

It does seem strange to release a White iPhone 4 so close to the release of the iPhone 5. . .

Unless he was referring to the iPhone 5, which might also indicate that the iPhone 5 is only an incremental update much like the 3GS was to the 3G.

One single tweet and all the tech sites/blogs are going wild, Apple are the masters of PR. But I'm sure people will still buy the iPhone 4 in white, just go into the Apple store and there are always people asking if they have it in white and then end up buying it in black and this was just last week.

If they've already produced them, why wouldn't they sell them? It's not like Apple coming out with a white iPhone 4 would prevent people from purchasing an iPhone 5 three months later so why not?

So, what would the white phone be? A soon to be outdated model or the same as the next iphone?

I can't see Apple foisting last year's technology to people on the heels of a new model.

With the latest applicable sources, its been stated that Apple has found difficulties with it's white outlayer and the camera's performance. But still it continues to be a major factor to manufacture the expected white iPhone4..

I was mainly surprised by the fact that Apple would release such info. Good point though.
