After announcing the iPhone in Germany today i found this commercial in a German Newspaper:

Tafka, what were you doing announcing the iPhone in Germany? :)

Looks like there was a commercial using a white version of the iPhone.

White iPhone?

Could this be real or is it fake?

That's not white... that's the back and edge of the iPhone which are silver and chrome on the existing iPhones that have a black face. The face is not shown in that picture at all.

That colour is defintely not silver in the commercial. And there is no reason for insults.

any fool can see that's not white... unless your the fool and maybe your color blind.. but I'm not trying to insult you......check out a colorware white iphone and see the difference...

If that is not white I have to call you a colour blind.

the poor res makes it look white perhaps, but I bet i could take a picture of my iphone and make it look like that too. I say no, no white iphone anytime soon, if ever.

Sorry to resurrect this thread, but I'm just kind of interested. I mean, it's definitely white, right?

And the iPhone 3G was released a couple of months later. So what was this picture of?

Its the first iPhone.

You can look at the headphone jack, and you'll notice it is recessed, compared to the flush headphone jack now on the iPhone 3G.

And the back isn't curved.

I always find it funny to read how some people completely denounce what others say only to find out they are wrong.

This resurrected thread made me laugh. But it does indeed look white though.

if it wasn't for

I would of said it was white too.

I actually thought this thread was new as of like...sometime recent.

I started reading it, and thought...well, why wouldn't it be a white iPhone, they released those already.

Then I scrolled down and saw a date on one of the other posts. :p

Okay for the last time the damn phone isn't white, it's the normal silver.

The photograph itself isn't its actual color. It's in a newspaper.
