I agree the white does look great. I got a black one and my wife got white and while I like mine, hers looks very good. It looks more expensive and newer, probably since the black looks just like the old one when viewed from the front.

These iPad colors are a lot like women

One is dull but practical; the other is nice to look at but somewhat impractical.

I can admit that black is better for watching video content.
On Safari, however, I am really liking white. I have a white and black iPad 2 in my possession,cand while browsing the white's screen seems bigger.
I guess it all depends on whether you watch videos or browse the web more.

I went with white because the COPYCATS are all in black.

At a glance from the back, you can tell what I'm using is wifi only or 3G. At a glance from the front, you can tell what I'm using is not a COPYCAT.
