White Macbook harddisk upgrade

Hi all,

I've got a white macbook 2.4 GHZ, 4GB Ram and 160GB HD.

I want to upgrade my HD coz it's nearly full. I want to get a 500GB HD internal.

What specs should i look for when upgrading my HD!! I hope it can b fast both for reading and writing to the HD.

Please give me some details about speed etc..
