Hi. Have problem with my iPhone 3GS (model MC131B). If it is switched on from 'off' then it starts fine. It shuts down after a minute but, if I then switch it back on I only get a white screen. I have to reboot it completely, then it restarts properly again. Current software version is (if I'm reading this right) 5.1.1 (9B206). Any suggestions gratefully received.

Sometimes, screen goes white and a simple tap on power off and then on again solves the problem!
I have noticed that if I make some pressure on the top of the iPhone (like pushing the top of screen more deep in), the screen goes white...

So, I think that the white screen is almost certainly a hardware issue in LCD.
