Question for you all.

My mom (who is not in the same state as me) tried installing leopard yesterday, but ran in to some problems. Does anyone have any advice?

Here is the the email I received:

Donita may have crashed her Mac-- the system locked when she try to run the
Leopard installer disk and she couldn't get the disk out. I got the disk out
but now after several restarts she just has a white screen with a blinking
icon of a file folder. You may need to call her tonight to see if you can
help her.

Please help...

More info?

Did the install finish? If not, just stick the disc in and restart the install but make sure you let the consistency check finish - if the disc is not consistent get a replacement disc from apple - don't try to reinstall with a bad disc!

Otherwise, what kinda Mac is this? How far did she get into installation etc?

Yeah sorry i know the info is vague at the least. It was all that was in the email from my family back home who are still so very new to Macs.

I will find out the questions you ask and return with an update. Thank you.

UPDATE 1: The one thing I do know is that it is a 15" C2D MBP.
