Hi everyone!

I've just noticed I've got 2 white spots on my screen. No idea where they have come from. They are fairly small and almost look like they are behind the screen.

I've got a 6S 64gb coming up to a year old. I'm pretty sure they have only just appeared.

They are only noticeable on a white background.

Anyone else had this?

Thanks,

Jamie

Dead pixels?

Dead pixels?

Don't think they are dead pixels, I've had those before.

They are a couple of mm in size and appear to be white in colour, I haven't gotten it wet or dropped it at all. They have just appeared!

Wonder if that's some of the original gluing that may have some loose over time due to the extended heat? Just guessing, I've not seen it on my devices so I'm not a 100% sure based on just what was written in this thread.

It's really hard to describe and don't think i will be able to photograph it, will try when
I'm home. Phones been absolutely fine up to now!

They are brighter dots on the screen, don't know how else to describe them!

Here is a photo of what I mean. I appreciate its really hard to see on here but in real life they are really noticeable! Thanks.

I can't see anything in your photo but I believe they are called screen flares. Only noticeable when viewing white/light backgrounds. As far as I'm aware, Apple will replace the screen for free assuming the device is still under warranty. I don't know all of the causes of them but I left my phone in a hot vehicle for an extended period of time and when I came back there were 2 decent sized ones on my screen. I'll try to snap photos to show them. Does that sound like what you're seeing?

Thanks for the reply! Yeah that sounds about right. I've just had a chat with AppleCare who have set up an express replacement as I'm in warranty.

Yep, I found a spot like that on my iPhone 6 a few weeks ago. More noticeable on light backgrounds, but mine can still be viewed on dark backgrounds as well. My phone is out of warranty, so I'm guessing I'll have to pay the $100 screen replacement cost to get it fixed. Planning to take it in to the Genius Bar sometime in the next week or so.

It's weird how they have just appeared! If this was 2 weeks later I'd be out of warranty too.

Is it only after streaming XXX flicks on your device? I'm using the terms streaming and device loosely here.
