One of the most exciting features on iOS 13, according to rumor, Safari will be always default to desktop version. I am super excited for the change. There are two many websites are defaulting to mobile version on the iPad and it is really annoying. Finally, I don’t need force the browser going to desktop version.

One of other thing i am excited about is the floating windows. Finally, we are no longer being tied with split windows.

If Apple can add Bluetooth mouse support and external storage support, that would be nice.

I am. I’m actually hoping that iOS 13 doesn’t leak in entirety like macOS 10.15 appears to have. Ruins the fun and surprise.

LOL. Not anymore interested with macOS anyway. Well, I will sure instal the beta profile and install the iOS 13 on all my iPad Pros.

P.S. I am not interested of spending 2K for a laptop that is middle of the road and everything soldiered on the motherboard. Macs are just not what it used to be. I recently purchased the new Acer laptop and happy with it.

I’m excited. Seriously floating windows? Wow. Maybe we can actually do multiple things at once.

how about access to USB memory sticks?

honestly, iTunes is a mess and not worth the effort to load music and movies into.

allow Files to access plugged in memory and two way copy and suddenly, iPad is a very portable computer. Good for work. Good for play.

I know the worry: people won't pay the huge memory step up pricing for upper end iPads. People won't buy MacBooks.

But in reality, does it affect the Microsoft Surface? I have a basic Surface Go and having a MicroSD and a USBC port just makes it very flexible for moving data around. I would argue USBC even makes the Go better than a regular Surface. I still don't like Windows 10 but it's workable. With large capacity USB/SD memory now cheap, why shouldn't iOS natively support use? Files was a good start but please make it work better.

I am, but I am not sure if my iPad Air 2 will be supported. At the moment I don't want to upgrade.

I wish apple would just create a modified Mac OS for the iPad pros. They could even call it iOS lol. Just a lighter version with good touch input, full file system, multiple windows available to be stacked on each other. That would be awesome.

it's hard to be excited about something when we don't have facts about it. perhaps this is a question better asked after WWDC.

that said, I doubt that Apple is going to add the features I think the iPad should have had years ago so unless they surprise me on those features, no I won't really be excited

It probably will be. I'm betting that devices with 2GB of RAM or higher will be supported (iPad Air 2 has 2GB of RAM).

The question is how well does 2GB of RAM handles floating windows? I mean currently with iPad Pro 9.7 and the 2018 iPad, i have experienced app refreshes a lot. When I goes to watch couple YouTube videos, then flip back to Safari, all tabs were reloaded. I highly doubt 2GB is sufficient enough for meaningful multitasking.

I’m excited. If safari would support full desktop sites it would be a huge step forward. This and external storage support. So many issues seem to be connected with the poor file system support, I really hope they’ll improve that somehow.
If they seriously upgrade iOS for iPad I may even consider switching my 11” for a 12.9”.

Yes to this!

iTunes is PITA on Windows. I actually use the iMazing free version. iTunes is always hassle to use. I don't see any benefits to it. I always felt slowed down when using it.

Yes! This is what I need.

I agree with this. I do like Windows 10 better but that's because it gives me the freedom and flexibility macOS does not give. Plus Windows plays better with other devices.

To be honest I am not excited about iOS 13. There will be a lot of hype but I don't expect anything revolutionary. iPad will remain a powerful device crippled by its operating system. Apple refuses to include in iOS what I need (proper file management, mouse support, true multitasking, extending monitors). So for me no matter what iOS 13 brings, the iPad will be just a digital notebook/sketchbook. Nothing more, nothing less.

Exclude that feature for 2GB devices?

Be interesting to see which IPads support all the features of iOS 13. Will they only add some features for the pro models?

Probably one with 3GB or more. iPad Air and iPad Mini gets 3GB and it will support lol features of iOS 13. Pretty much all iPad Pros (expect iPad Pro 9.7) gets all features, since all of them has 4GB of RAM.

I think the 2017 and 2018 iPad and the iPad Pro 9.7 will get some features but not all. 2GB at this stage is too limited right now.

I think this is good step towards iPad being capable of replacing laptop. iPad Pros are just too limited by the OS.

Im at the point where I just use my iPad Air 2 for growing and games, but its probably my overall favorite device.

I’m very excited. With Photoshop coming to iPad Pro’s, I would expect Adobe to have some pull with having mouse support. Then again, the Apple Pencil did perform the job when they demoed the software.

I never agreed to have MacOS mesh with iOS, but I always believed that the iPad ahold have some PC/Mac functionality to say “here’s as $800-$2000 iPad that’s extremely portable and here’s a $4000 MacBook Pro.

Actually, its coming to all ipads
[doublepost=1555781414][/doublepost]Really nothing interesting unless they make file usable with external drives. Actually ios apps on MacOS
us more exciting then ios 13

I’m excited for my Mini 5, terrified for what it might mean for my 2017 regular ipad. Hoping it won’t be the update that makes A9 devices finally feel sluggish or inadequate.

I have very low expectations for anything radically different. In most updates, Apple tends to improve only the things that I thought were already fine. Once in a blue moon they’ll surprise me with feature that I find useful enough to get excited about. So far all the iOS 13 rumors that I’ve heard don’t fall in that category. But I’d love to be surprised.
