how ridiculous. Are previous iterations of the iPhone a different resolution - no doubt and there is a difference. But "can't stand to look at..." is incredulous. Get over it. People spoil so quickly.

+100 for common sense
I still have a 3GS and love the phone(of course when my upgrade date arrives I will get the IP4)
but my best friend at work has the 4 and we compare and trade apps/tweaks and stuff and the screen is great no doubt...but can't look at or never again use a 3GS?
oh you elitist..you always forget where you came from.

My 3GS Served me well, I loved that phone, and yes the ip4 is much better to look at, although I handed my 3GS down to my son who takes good care of the phone now, so I do not mind looking at it once and a while, it is still much better then what is on the market now anyway IMO.

I tried the iPhone 4 in a shop the other day, to be honest I didn't notice that much of a difference. Maybe its cos it was at waist height as opposed to up to my eyes but I didn't see the big deal... Am I doing something wrong?

Just wait until you use one on a daily basis. I was the same as you, when I first got it, I wasn't blown away or anything, thought well it does look somewhat better, but then after using it nonstop for a week then picking up my old 3G, I was blown away by how bad it looks to me now. Trust me, you get spoiled quickly with the iPhone 4's screen.

I upgraded from a 3GS to an iPhone 4. I also had two other lines. Both of those lines I upgraded to brand new 3GS, one of the new 8GB and one of the older white 32GB.

I use all of them everyday and there are times when I actually prefer to use the 3GS because it's such an excellent phone. The screen looks great and it handles 4.0 as if it came from the factory that way.

I can't understand why people say "Who can't stand to look at the 3GS screen?" because that's just being plain stupid.
