I haven't read this at all, but my dad, who owns Apple stock and follows the company apparently more than me, told me that he read that if Steve Jobs were to somehow leave Apple, Apple wouldn't be worth half of what it is now.

Has anyone read this?

Half to two thirds. Apple has a P/E ratio of about 30. Dell, HP, gateway, Nokia are all between 15 and 20.

Nokia was included because of the iPhone, plus its dead center of the range.

Apple trades at a premium and Steve Jobs is quite possibly the reason.

I agree. The press is in love with him (not that that makes the stock any more valuable) and as this site shows he's incredibly popular with his customers.

I still say Ives.
