Our line at the Elgin ATT store (near chicago) gave us free water / pop / and pizza.

I was amazed when i read in other post before i left out the door yesterday they were doing this else where.

I'm extremely pleased with ATT / Apple right now. I don't get all the flame threads honestly...

It's the least Apple can do with all the 'free' publicity they recieved. Other than the TV ads they ran there was little advertising to be done. Whats better than people who have no idea whats going on than driving by their at&t or Apple Store and seeing people camping outside waiting for their product.

Also - maybe they felt sorry for people since they knew all along they would have more than enough iPhones for everyone over the next few days.

at the Walt Whitman store in Huntington, NY, the employees were really great.....We got Dunkin Donuts coffee and munchkins, and we got Smart waters.....they were really nice and knew that we were in it for the long haul

We got nothing free of any sort (no water, drinks, food, candy, nothing!!!) from the AT&T Store in Irving, Texas, and I waited out in line since 8 AM and was #3 in line. The employees were not nice at all, and offered nothing free to us for waiting outside in the hot Texas heat all day. We ended up going to Chick-Fil-A to get some lunch.

The apple store at rosedale mall in Minneapolis handed out free water and caribou coffee. Then the Godiva chocolate store gave everyone a coupon for a free sample bag.

I was at the brea store in California, and they passed out free water and coffee. what I found amusing was california pizza kitchen taking orders for people in line. closer to six, rubio's started to pass out free burritos. what didn't amuse me was finding a bunch of flyers on my windshield coming back to my car. still it was a veey positive experience, and i'm glad i got the iphone.

I was at the AT&T store in Misson Valley in San Diego. They had fresh fruit baskets with lots of apples (the fruit not electronics) and water, they would come by the line handing these out every few minutes.

lol, I def. did. There was a grocery store right next to the AT&T store so I kept running in and out of there at least three times. Everybody was respectful and said nothing when you came back to your place in line.

We got Smartwater bottles and Chick-fil-a coffee. Plus random companies came by and gave us light up bouncy balls and a radio station passed out cheap iPod nano cases. Quite nice to get free stuff.

5th avenue store got free:

Chocolate covered popcorn
Lemonade
Chairs
Fans
Starbucks Coffee
Smart Water
Amenity Bags compliments of Virgin Airlines
Oh yea and some movie from this giant phone guy.

I almost forgot the Izze soda.

Nothing from ATT, but the guy two down from me in line went to the Deli next store and bought the entire supply of Ice Tea and had them bring it out..
