I got to the Twelve Oaks (Novi, MI) Apple Store around 4:30, and they were passing out Smart Water.

People from Sephora, Lord and Taylor, and Macy's were passing out perfume samples and sales circulars to the women in line. (It was kind of strange, because they were deliberately avoiding men.)

At the Apple store in Marlton NJ they were passing out water, pretzels, chips, coffee, and Panera breads..

I've got to say that even though there were a few hundred people waiting the line moved incredibly fast, the store was obviously well staffed and prepared for this event.. It was a really good experience.. I passed 2 AT&T stores to check out the lines and they were MUCH, MUCH shorter.. I almost decided to go there instead, but in the end I decided I wanted the Apple experience, plus I was pretty sure Apple would have enough, but I wasn't too sure AT&T would, so I decided to go with Apple even if it meant a longer wait.. Turns out the wait was shorter (time-wise), I actually got a phone, and enjoyed the experience.. I was truly in awe of the way Apple handled this launch- and I'm not a patient person when it comes to lines and crowds, nor am I easily impressed.. Couldn't be happier..

at the Walt Whitman store in Huntington, NY, the employees were really great.....We got Dunkin Donuts coffee and munchkins, and we got Smart waters.....they were really nice and knew that we were in it for the long haul

how mobbed was that store? I was thinking of going down but decided eh, not worth the hassle when i don't plan on buying one. (yet)

I wish we would've been given food. They did hand out water and coffee from Coffee Bean though...

KoP, PA store gave out Smart water, Chic-fil-et passed around some chicken, and starbucks provided coffee and some Mexican Salad.

I was at the at&t store in Fond Du Lac, WI and they provided doughnuts, water, and a nice bluetooth speaker system powered by at&t music store so we had tunes. They were all very polite chatting with us periodically all day. I am very pleased with at&t and Apple and agree with nickspohn about the flame threads. I am very pleased with the iPhone and the buying experience. I think they did a great job considering this is a rev a product. :D :D :D

Beverly Center in the middle of west Los Angeles had bottled water, some free t-shirts, free Godiva chocolate samples, and then a free Chipotle burrito for anyone with an iPhone receipt.

Not too bad. :)

At the Chandler Blvd. store in Chandler, AZ, I was given alot of water and otter pops. Love those otter pops. It was about 110 degrees outside and we had a westerly exposure, so the water was a necessity.

SoHO, NY got many rounds of water from Apple, several coffee rounds from the coffee shop that liners #42-46 were camped in front of, gourmet carmel popcorn, Godiva chocolate, and Red Bull. Those are the edibles I remember. Also, people in line shared their food stores freely and if they made food runs asked around if anyone wanted anything.

There were lots of magazines, toys and trinkets handed out including Palm(?) cases. And lots of promotional flyers. One guy next to me was asleep for a long time and woke up partially covered in flyer spam.

A friend of the person I was in line with came by handing out travel books. She said her boss told her "They're sitting ducks out there."

The apple store at rosedale mall in Minneapolis handed out free water and caribou coffee. Then the Godiva chocolate store gave everyone a coupon for a free sample bag.

That's funny because at the "Towson Town Center" (suburb of Baltimore) Godiva walked around and gave us free chocolates and took orders and served other stuff. Starbucks pushed a cart of free coffee and of course Apple provided us with Smart Water. I had a great line buddy (thank God) and if you're reading this you know who you are... :)

Also, it was so nice that the Apple stores have wifi and I was lucky to have an electrical outlet just behind me on a pillar.

There was a cooler of water there when I arrived about 45 minutes before opening. However, a waitress from Pepper's Deli brought a tray of sweet tea (only in the south) over for us right before opening.

I was fifth in line at the Apple Store at Millenia Mall. A bunch of my buddies work at the store, and they told me before hand that they were getting smart water, as much as a pallet. When I waited in line, they decided to get a roll of starbucks stickers and just went through the line all day handing out hundreds of them, and the water. Williams-Sonoma people were amazing!!! They brought us frozen (non-alcoholic mind you) APPLEtinis !!! They were basically like frozen popsicles.

I am still on hold with AT&T 39 hours after I bought my phone, but I've played with the ones that work, and my buddy John's and it is way cooler than I even imagined it to be!! The overall line experience was the best possible experience I could have imagined for 11 hours on the floor!!

We got the Smart water, brownies from Chik-fil-a and a flashlight left over from Halloween!

Palm Beach Gardens, Florida

My gf waited in line for me for 8 hours (I joined her later in the day) and got free munchies and drinks all day...along with countless interviews and free magazines, fans, etc. We were in front of the Fifth Avenue store.

Our line at the Elgin ATT store (near chicago) gave us free water / pop / and pizza.

I was amazed when i read in other post before i left out the door yesterday they were doing this else where.

I'm extremely pleased with ATT / Apple right now. I don't get all the flame threads honestly...

Myself and one other guy were the only people waiting in front of our local Apple Store on Saturday morning. One of the employees brought us bottles of water before the store opened.

Grrrr.

Wish I was at the Alderwood Mall Apple Store instead of traveling through Tacoma-Seattle traffik that took all of 3 hours or more.

Wonder what was given out at the store?

I like cool free food/drinks and stuff.
