I find the ipad 3 gets very slow when im creating/ editing my artwork. I sometimes do light video work on my pad and find slowdowns are common. If the ipad 5 has 2gb ram will probably buy. Obviously i use a laptop for higher end stuff, 1080p video editin, rendering, large PS files etc. So if i have the money will upgrade my iPad

same here...and it gets too hot still. hoping for better battery life as well.

I'm skipping the 5S and holding on to my 5. What really interests me is the possibility of a new iPad....( My fiancee has my iapd 4 now ) but the most important thing for me is the Mac Pro....I'm using a brand new Maxed out Imac at present, and it does everything I ask of it just fine, but the wait for the new one, and seeing how the quality is before taking the plunge is my present situation.

I run Logic X with 32GB of RAM an I7 3.4 and a 3TB FD. What stopped me from buying a Pro was simple. No thunderbolt support and I have a Pegasus R4 which will soon be added to by daisy chaining in a larger unit. When the new ones are released, I will be watching these boards every closely to see how the first batch goes.

So what is going to be the main difference between ipad 4 and 5? From what I read, it is going to be lighter. Is that it?

If one does any google searches you will find other rumors, such as.

1..Better Camera

2. Better CPU/GPU

3. Better longer lasting battery perhaps

4. Possible better speaker location/stereo sound

I just bought an iPhone 5 a month ago, because I thought the 5S wouldn't be a big enough update to wait for, (I had an iPhone 4 prior, and.. well.. it's uselessly slow on iOS 7) but then the 5C rumor mill started up, and now I'm regretting buying the iPhone 5, because I probably would have bought the 5C if I had waited.. that said, I did get the 5 for a deal, I got it for $580 at a pawn shop, with only two small scratches on it. However, if I could go back, I would've waited for the 5C (if it's real :p)

Getting the 5C.

Not sure on the iPad yet. Had a 1, 2 and 3. Sold them all and now have a Mini. Need to see them and decide if I go retina Mini or lighter, thinner full size iPad 5.

Either way the wait is killing me. Been way to long since I got a new Apple product.

I'm not getting the 5s because the 6 is to follow

I'm not getting the 6 because 6s is to follow

I'm not getting the 6s because the 7 is to follow.

This. Some people need to realize that tech will forever be changing and if you keep holding out, you may be waiting for a long time. I typically preorder and get the newest iPhone when it launches, that way I get at least one full year before it's a generation behind.

I bought the mini because I was eager to have a 7 inch device. Now I miss my full sized iPad so I am waiting for that. The biggest 5s feature I am hoping for is much better battery life and a notification LED. I dont think I will get either =)

Not interested at all. I upgrade when I need to and let's be honest. What's there to be excited about? Their formula hasn't changed in years.

For me, I am quite poor comparing you guys, I am just eagerly waiting for the "low cost iPhone" which should be iPhone 5c.

I didn't get the iPhone 5 because I knew a 5s would follow. I don't mind waiting, but as the date gets closer I'm looking forward to its release

(Wasn't sure where to put this post, so if the mods know a better place, please move it)

I'm waiting patiently for the new iPad 5, but I'm also waiting for the new iPhone 5S AND a new MacBook Pro 15" Haswell.

Luckily I've been saving my cookies and will splurge like it's the week before Christmas, but I was wondering if there are others out there in the same boat as my devilishly handsome self?

It's not like I'm updating every year either. Iphone 4S is about 2 years old, Ipad 2 is 2 and half years old and my laptop has hit 4 years old.

Who else is waiting on more than just a single piece of new hardware?

Waiting for the same 3 things. Its like i just read my thoughts on here :p i can't wait!!!!

580 for a used i5 with a couple of scrtches is NOT a deal.

WTF

Im waiting for iPad 5.

Hoping the Mini2 wont have retina so the choice will be easy for me.

Will consider the 5S, only if I can sell my 5 and not spend any additional money for the upgrade.

Very curious about the new Mac Pro. Want to see its price, and how it looks once all the connections with TB2 looks.

Waiting for iPad 5, will be ready to purchase around February, so the wait isn't a problem. Love that they shaped it more like the mini's form factor.

Not due for a phone upgrade until November 2014, so I think it'll be the 6S by then, and I'll probably be ready to leave Android now that I'm on the Apple bandwagon. :p

Only recently decided (about a month ago) I wanted to purchase an iPad so I am waiting on the iPad mini 2or 5. Will probably lean towards the mini if it has retina but we will see.

For my phone, I am going to wait and see what the 6 has to offer. I will be interested in what the 5s has to bring to the table but so far I haven't heard anything that would make me want to switch from my 5.

I don't know if "waiting for" is the right term for me. My wife and I have both decided to take the plunge and get iPhones, but we will not do so until December. We will get whatever phone is available at that time and meets our needs. What I'd really love is a 128GB iPhone- that would all me to completely replace my iPods and free up some space on my existing iPad.

I've had my iPhone 4S for almost two years, and it serves me well. I still get great battery life after many charge cycles. I'm not too excited about the 5S based on the reported specs, although I may buy one if the user reviews are really good. Otherwise, I'll hang on until the iPhone 6 is announced. I'd really like a slightly larger screen (and not just in one dimension). I don't really need a fingerprint sensor. I've never used those when they've been incorporated into laptops in the past.

I've got an old iPad 2, which barely gets used. It's just too large and heavy. I recently bought the new Nexus 7, and I love it. It's the perfect size for me and the high pixel density of the screen makes it very easy to read even very small fonts. This is my first Android device, and I'm enjoying learning about a different system.

My 2009 13-inch MBP is still going strong. It's the best laptop I've ever owned, and I've owned many. I replaced the hard drive with an SSD, and it feels like a new machine. It even runs Logic X, although that program would benefit from a larger screen. I hope that Mavericks doesn't tax the hardware too much. It should be fine, but that might be the only reason I'd think of upgrading to a newer Haswell machine.

I have an old Dell desktop running Windows 7 that I use for gaming. It's getting a bit long in the tooth. I'm tempted to buy an iMac to replace it since I refuse to purchase Windows 8. I tried that OS when it was in public beta, and I hated it.

I'm waiting for the iPad 5 as well as the new Mac Pro and possibly a new bigger TBD to replace my iMac.

I'm on a wait and see about the 5S. I have someone who's ready to buy my 5 but I'll only do it if the 5S is a worthwhile upgrade to me. I'll find out on Tuesday I guess.

In any case, it's gonna be an expensive fall.

I'm waiting (as it sounds like many are) for coming updates to all 3, iphone, ipad mini, and rmbp. Hopefully this will be an eventful september

Yea, I'm planning on upgrading to both the 5S, iPad 5, and new Apple TV, assuming that the 5S gets a 128GB storage upgrade and the Apple TV gets 802.11ac upgrade.

The iPad 5 for sure as I'm sorely missing the larger screen size and retina display. The new design and reduced weight is going to feel great so I really can't wait :)

Lastly, if Apple also updates the new Thunderbolt Display with the new thin iMac form factor alongisde the new Mac Pros this fall, we'll be upgrading my wife's current Cinema Display to that as well.
