Which size M2 MBA do you prefer, and why?

I ordered a 13" MacBook Air (M2, 16gb), which should arrive on July 5th. 95% of the time, I'll use it at home, connected to my 28" 4K monitor. I'm hoping that the small size will make it easier to carry around when I'm out. I have no problem with the 12.9" screen on my iPad Pro, with Magic Keyboard, so I'm hoping for a similar experience with my MacBook Air.
That was precisely my thinking when ordering my 13 inch MBA 16GB/1TB. It arrived yesterday and I can confidently say that it has met those expectations completely--and then some.

The difference in size and weight between the 13" MBA and my 16" MBP are massive. Since I got it 24 hours ago, I've been using the MBA on my lap and out on the deck table almost non-stop; I rarely lugged the 16 inch model out onto the deck and that 16 inch size feels very unstable on my lap. Plus, the MBA actually feels lighter than my 12.9 inch iPad Pro 2018 in Magic Keyboard but not insubstantial in any way.

I had a 16” MBP as well. I was remarkably hesitant to carry it about. With the MBA 13, no hesitation. I’ve fallen in love with it over the last six months.

yeah, probably it is lighter.

This is me as well. I've been on my deck with my new Air enjoying the lightness. I miss the screens on my MBP 16 and iPP 12.9 when I use it though. I'm really spoiled for choice here.

Followup on my earlier post: I've had my 13" M2 MBA for a couple of days now and it has met my expectations (and then some). I've been using it constantly on my lap out on the deck and on the couch and, unlike the 16" M1Pro MBP it doesn't feel unsteady, even when balanced on one thigh with my knees crossed. And I'm really liking how light it is.

When trying to view multiple windows at a time, I do find I'm fiddling with window sizing more on this machine than on the MBP with a larger screen but it's not intolerable. However, if you're planning on working with multiple windows frequently, you might want to go with a larger screen.

All of this said, the 13" M2 MBA won't be replacing my 16" MBP but it certainly is a nice addition and, in my case, worth the cost. For me it's a keeper. As always YMMV.

I will be using mine mostly with an external 28" 4K monitor. I chose the 13.6" MacBook Air because it's easier to use on the go than a larger MacBook Pro.
