I always loved them and doing them in college

Did any of you have cool steps?

its a sorority/frat thing

at greek gatherings, usually the sorities and fraternities will have step offs

im telling you, they are sweet. im watching drumline and its bringing back frat/soroity gatherings

Yes indeed! Stepping is a wicked form of expression, communication, and entertainment. I think it has roots in African Culture. I just wish we here in Canadian Universities and Colleges had this in practice; non that I'm aware of.

The other two just above that posted; what the HELL is that?!
 
Stuff like that makes me glad I went to university in the UK, do we even have frat thingies here? 😀
And yes. I also thought of the band Steps but I never thought they were awesome.

in actually quite cool when they break out these steps at parties
 
My fraternity had nothing of the sort, nor did any of the others. Same with sororities.

I agree with the other poster that I think it has roots in african culture. Were you in a predominantly african american fraternity?

I thought the OP was originally talking about the AA steps. Not in AA, but those immediately came to mind.
