I have the iPad 1 16GB WIFI, and didn't felt the iPad 2 and iPad 3 were enough. The iPad 2 only brought the A5 and thinner design (plus a little bit more of RAM, 512MB), which was not worth spending another 500$ only a year later.

Then the iPad 3 had the new screen and 1GB RAM, but still the A5. I decided to wait until the iPad 4 next March.

Now, we've got both of best worlds: the new A6 and still the screen. So now is a good time to upgrade for me.

Do any of you iPad 1 and iPad 2 owners feel the same? Is now the time to upgrade or are you still gonna wait for the iPad 5 maybe?

when the ipad 3 came out, people were all omg this is what the ipad 2 should be.

the new ipad announced today, me and everyone: omg this is what the ipad 3 should be.

the next ipad: same @*#$ different day.

whenever you decide to jump to an ipad, know that something better will come out next day

I didn't buy the iPad 3 because of battery life. Apple chose to use amorphous silicon on the iPad 3 instead of indium gallium to keep the price down, or keep margins high...depending on how you look at it. IMO, the AS screen killed battery life, unlike the IGZO which was already being used on the iPhone 4. If this iPad 4 has an IGZO display, I'm absolutely getting it.

I'm upgrading from an iPad 2 to the 4th Gen. Between the retina display, A6X processor, and much better cameras it's a massive upgrade.

Yes I'm going from iPad2 to the iPad4. I've had to endure several months of a co-worker with an iPad3 taunts. No it is my turn:p

Ha, why buy the 4, the 5 is just around the corner...

No offense to anyone buying an iPad4, but what exactly is the killer feature of the 4 that makes this "the right one to buy" rather than waiting for the 5? This one feels more like a placeholder rather than a true successor to the iPad 2/3 line.

IMHO to upgrade from a 3 to a 4 doesn't make any sense at all.
