I am a very minimalist person, so there was only one colour I was going to buy.

I love it, and it blends with anything.

How about you?

The yellow is okay. I love the bold colors on the backs but hate the pastels on the fronts and stands. I'd be all over the orange one. If that dark orange extended to the front and stands.

I'd probably go with yellow. Silver just feels dated.

I voted for Silver as thats what I intend to buy. I'm going for a neutral home office colour scheme and that fits my intended aesthetic.
The only question is should I go for 32GB or 24GB ram for longevity.

I got the silver because I don't care for the pastel options.

If I could have gotten the midnight Blue like on my MBA with a matching 'chin', that would be my first choice.

At least put the metallic colors on the 'chin', the even softer version of color I don't care for.

The pastel colours just don't look good to me either, so if I was in the market for one I'd just go for a neutral silver. It's not really boring to me, either.

It would be a different story if the colours were more saturated or deeper (like the iPod nano 4g/5g) and included a black bezel. I went for a red iPhone 13 mini and it would be cool to see a matching Mac.

What do you normally do on it? I just got a Mac mini base model and was scared 16gb wouldn't be enough, but with my semi-medium usage it's fine. I've never used any swap or topped 12GB in use. I'm pretty impressed honestly. If you aren't doing a ton, I think 24 would be fine for the length of support.

Hobby video editing and some Design. I was thinking about longevity more than anything.
I'm also wondering if one should pull the trigger on the purchase now incase Trump goes ahead with the Tariff increases in 2025.

If you're gonna buy, sooner is probably better. This will give you more use from it. 32GB will be good for the life of the machine, no doubt.

The pastel colors look childish to me. I do like the darker colors on the backs, just not the pastels on the fronts. That said, I had to replace an old 27" iMac and selected the Green. It's next to a window overlooking a river, trees, sky and just blends in to the nature scene. Blue probably would have been fine, as well. While we're talking about colors, I really wish the MacBook Pros would also have a Starlight color option in addition to the black and silver.

I would pick grey or black if it was an option. Always liked the design, but only owned a 5K version due to the amazing display. Wish they still had a 5K display in 27”.

I got 24GB.

I’m doubting between a silver one and Orange

For MS Office stuff and some light gaming (upcoming Civ7). Other than that basic home computer stuff.

Does 32GB ram do anything for these or will 24 GB be enough? Definitely going for 24 minimum

Have a pink iMac (M1). Love the color very much even though it is actually a red iMac. The colors on M4 look slightly muted compared to M1/M3 models. My other color choices will be Yellow or Orange.

I have the blue M1 iMac.

And yesterday I ordered a blue M4 iMac.

But today I woke up in regret.

Cancelled the order, and then I ordered the SILVER M4 iMac

I have purple now. Had yellow previously. The current green looks nice. Never would consider silver.

Have had silver for 3 years.

Why did you buy a iMac with the MacBooks you have?
