Do you regularly/routinely wear your AW in the bath/shower?

I would just not shower with it unless I'm somewhere, say a campground w/showers and don't want to leave it laying around. But that's when it generally goes on the charger every day when I use it, especially now with the Ultra, battery life is incredible and it charges so quick in about 20 minutes while getting ready.

The watch industry (not just Apple) recommends strongly against wearing wristwatches in hot showers or saunas. It’s not that watches aren’t water resistant, but that water resistance degrades over time as rubber gaskets and seals start to dry out. That coupled with the viscosity of soap and the influence of steam can cause water to get into the case. Most of the time, you’ll get away with it, especially when a watch is new, but the older the watch is, the less water resistant they will be. Why do it if you don’t have to?

If you are still covered under Apple care, I’d say do what you want. Once the warranty is gone, just know that it will be your burden to fix a watch ruined by water intrusion.

I personally have only kept my watch on in the shower once or twice.

I think Apple’s seal deterioration warning is more to protect them from customer complaints. I’m sure soap and shampoo do deteriorate it faster, but based on the countless people who shower with their watches every day with no damage, I don’t think the effects are noticeable over the average lifetime of the Watch.

I used to with my old series 3, but the front popped off and it started acting weird even if I didn't get it wet anymore. I had to buy a new series 3 about 18 months afterwards, which I have never gotten wet, but the screen popped off that one too. The Apple store could have sent it off to get repaired, but I just used my industrial superglue. But I don't think it is perfectly waterproof anymore.

Not sure why anyone would want to shower with it. Not only does it make it annoying to wash your arm, you get water between your wrist and the Watch, which itself is annoying to dry off. Plus, you’re not washing the underside of your Watch and band while wearing it (let alone your skin).

What do you gain from wearing it in the shower? +5 active calories? A quick rinse in warm water is all the cleaning the Watch needs.

Shower/morning routine is for charging. I have a fast charger in my bathroom, and that’s enough to top off for the day.

Although they are smaller, I don't take my necklace or my medical alert bracelet off when I shower. Haven't had a problem soaping up, or drying off.

I don't shower with my watch, unless I went swimming as a way to wash off the salt/chlorine.

Bar soap and human skin lead to scum that accumulates on your tile walls. Your watch is no different!

Can’t see a reason to wear your watch while taking a shower.

I did when I first got it, series 7, and there were no issues. But Apple recommends not exposing the Watch to shampoos, soaps etc and there is the admittedly minor inconvenience of clearing water out of the Watch so I decided it is not worth the risk or hassle. So I now use that as the time to recharge the Watch.
Same story here. I used to shower with it on at the end of the day as I usually just kept it on its charger at night into morning. I'm fine with submerging it it in water its the soap and shampoos that I'm not too comfortable getting on the watch.

I don't, not because I'm worried about ruining it but simply because I don't feel the need. I also use my watch for sleep tracking, so I tend to charge it while I'm showering.

My 4, 6, and 7 were/are rarely taken off. My 4 lasted through dozens of trips to water parks and beaches with no issues and never being taken off. I moved to a different state since the 4 so the 6 and 7 (alternate between both) don't get the same abuse but I don't hesitate to wear them.

My dad inherited the 4, he's a diesel machinery mechanic and only took it off when he couldn't get his hand in a tight spot with it on, the only reason he upgraded is someone stole it when he left it on the seat of his truck while getting a different tool.

I only keep it on my wrist while I’m in the water only when I’m on holidays mostly. So in the swimming pools and oceans mostly. I don’t really feel comfortable with any restrictions while taking shower at home and also that’s when I charge it most of the times.

I never wear my watch in the shower. I did do it once by accident but I don’t see the point. I’m happy to do without the use of it while I’m having a shower. Plus I don’t like having to wait for the bands to dry. I don’t even where my watch while sleeping either.

If you take a shower in the morning… then… do you go to bed after all day doing things without taking a shower?

The band and the watch itself get clean in the shower. Then, you put put the watch, dry it with the towel and put it on again. Simple as that.

Never in the bath, but always in the shower. Never had any issues with this (S5) or my S2. My S2 only gave up as I smashed the screen. My partner is the same, and she's on a S3: both still going strong.

I always have since the Series 0 when I preordered that. and very generation I have had it was never an issue, and now I have the Ultra and if that cant handle a shower, then its not a extreme watch lol

I put the Ultra on the charger when I take a shower. By the time I’m done, it’s got more than enough charge to wear non-stop until the next day’s shower.

I wouldn’t worry about the watch itself to wear it in the shower … but why would I want to? And when would be a better time to charge the watch?

b&
Why charge the Ultra daily? I am getting 3 days of battery on mine
