Who has a perfect 15'' rMBP screen (no yellow tint)?

Mine is fantastic, H series, base model 2.0/8/256, first one I got.

I tried the command to determine display manufacturer, but it just said “Color LCD” and nothing else at all. So I tried piping ioreg to a file, using TextWrangler grep to remove everything that’s not hex code between angle brackets, and xxd’ing the result, but a bunch of gibberish came out.

You could just check under Color Lcd mmod and see if it's A019 LG or A022 Samsung

what would you consider this ? yellow tint or even backlighting ? it doesn't bother me but it definitely has a ... something about it idk...

I have a Samsung, 5th digit is 3, and my screen is perfect.

EDIT: My mac's serial number 5th digit is an L. I for some reason thought he was asking after the serial number of the display.

I believe the fifth character of your Mac's serial number is meant to be a letter...

Yeah...I started my Thanksgiving PTO about 3 hours ago with beer. I wish my cognitive abilities were as clear as the rMBP display. Fifth character is a "G". :D

i used to have f.lux running but i tried to delete it and my screen always has looked a bit yellow ever since ! how do i know its actually been fully uninstalled

No yellow tinting here. I adore this screen. I've had 0 issues with it.

Not sure what the fifth letter of my serial number is supposed to tell you though.

It's supposed to tell you the week it was manufactured. There's a theory out there that newer versions (with 5th digits being N or greater on the alphabet list) have less problems...

Mid 2012 here, and display about as good as you can expect an IPS panel to be.

Model: LSN154YL01001

Do you want the fifth digit of the panel serial, or of the laptop?
Panel: 3
Laptop: D

I had LG with ghosting, very good LG after replacement (both in 1st gen rMPB) and now I have again an LG screen. Almost perfect, unnoticeable bleeding, no yellow tint, great colors.
